I pay $1700 a month to be dealing with disgusting floors, disgusting ceilings, full of spiderwebs and light fixtures that are full of bugs and spiderwebs. A green pool that hasn’t been working all summer we keep getting the runaround that they’re Doing everything they can to fix the pool it’s not that hard. If other apartments can have nice pools why can’t we!? My ceiling has been leaking every time it rains mold is starting to grow and I’ve been coming to them about this issue for going on two years and nothing has been done. I’ve just been kept getting excuses after excuses and I’m so tired of this. I would not recommend these apartments to anybody. How are we in Stone Oak but it feels like I live in the ghetto?!
I lived at Sonterra Heights for three years, and overall I had a great experience. The property is beautiful, quiet, and I never had any major issues during my time there.
One downside was the towing situation. It was definitely one of the biggest frustrations during my lease. If you regularly have friends or family visiting, guest parking can be a headache, so that’s something to keep in mind before renting. I did also have to deal with roaches and raccoons, which is something I don’t miss now that I’m at my new home.
The only other consistent issue I experienced was with the leasing office’s communication by phone. The staff has always been friendly and helpful in person, but getting someone to answer the phone is incredibly difficult. There were many times I called throughout the day with no response. Today alone, I had to call 19 times before someone finally answered. Since I’ve already moved to another city, going into the office wasn’t an option, which made the lack of phone communication even more frustrating when I needed assistance with my account.
Overall, I truly enjoyed living at Sonterra Heights and would have given five stars if communication from the leasing office had been more reliable. I hope this is something they improve because it would make an already great community an even better place to live.

Does anyone else living at Sonterra Heights Apartments feel like the website doesn’t match reality?
The website shows a beautiful blue pool, but it’s ALWAYS closed or disgusting. The latest explanation was that the landscaping is somehow causing the pool issues because of all the rain … which honestly left me confused. 🙄
It also advertises being a gated community, but the gates are constantly broken or left wide open, so they’re basically just decoration at this point.
I do live there, so yes, this is partly a rant. 😂 But I’m also genuinely curious—how does this not fall under false advertising or violate the lease if amenities that are advertised are consistently unavailable or not maintained?
Has anyone else dealt with something similar here or at another apartment complex? I’d love to hear your experience or if there’s anything tenants can actually do.
They Do not take care of their apartments or repairs
Their responses are a joke Read them it’s always the same. “we strive” it never we will address this right now.
If I told them I Strive to pay rent they would evict me.

I lived in this community for more than two years, and honestly, I came to consider it my home. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and well-designed. The balcony was large enough to enjoy special moments with my family, and the pool area was beautiful.
Unfortunately, I had to move away from San Antonio, but if I ever return, I would definitely choose to live here again. I met amazing people in both the management and maintenance teams. I truly miss my apartment and how conveniently located it was near the gym and the pool, as they were both in Building 1.
I also had a wonderful neighbor. This community is very peaceful, safe, and located in an excellent area. My experience here was truly outstanding.
