***My real rating is 2.5 stars but Google doesn't allow half stars unfortunately***
I was a resident here for a little over a year during 2025–2026. I got a great deal on my two-bedroom unit, and I loved the price and how spacious it was, but that was honestly about it. The maintenance staff was also pretty great. They were always friendly and usually quick to respond to service requests. These apartments are located in a good area too, full of stores (HEB, Trader Joe's, Home Depot, Cava, Crumbl etc) which made things more convenient.
I know they recently switched property management companies, so the staff may be completely different now. Just keep that in mind while reading this review.
I got what I paid for. The buildings are REALLY old... like really old. The parking lot had a ton of potholes. They did fill some while I was there, but last time I checked, not all of them had been fixed.
I never used the pool because a couple of times I saw it looking pretty gross. To be fair, after those instances it usually looked fine, but once I saw it like that, I just couldn’t bring myself to get in.
For the most part, my service requests were resolved pretty quickly except for a leak inside one of my bathroom walls. I submitted that request about halfway through my lease, and it unfortunately never got fully resolved. They even opened part of the wall to investigate but still couldn’t figure out exactly where the leak was coming from. Every now and then, part of the bathroom floor would flood a little. I can only imagine what the mold behind those walls probably looked like. Thankfully, it wasn’t a constant leak, more like a couple times a month, so it was manageable, but definitely still frustrating.
The thing that made me absolutely LIVID, though, was the plumbing situation during summer 2025. The complex was apparently having major plumbing or water pipe issues, which resulted in the water being shut off constantly for repairs. That alone wouldn’t have been a huge issue, except it happened around TWENTY TIMES (yes, I counted) over the summer. A couple of those shutoffs lasted 10–12 hours.
Usually the water came back on around closing time or earlier, but I distinctly remember two separate occasions where it stayed off well into the night. I was beyond irritated because I had just gotten back from the gym and couldn’t even shower. I remember sitting there in sweaty gym clothes for hours just waiting for the water to come back on. One time, my partner literally had to use my friend’s shower at the apartment complex next door because our water was still shut off.
That was honestly the biggest issue for me: the plumbing. Hopefully they’ve fully resolved those problems by now because residents should not have to go without water that often or for that long, especially during the summer.
Other than that, I was grateful to get a good deal on my unit, and knowing I wasn’t staying in San Antonio long-term made things more tolerable. I did appreciate the friendly maintenance staff and the spacious layout of my apartment, especially all the windows around the dining and living room area. We also didn't really have pests but we did request pest control every now and then as a preventative measure. You pay for it in your lease, so you might as well.
In conclusion, if you get a good deal on a unit here, and you're not going to stay super long-term, like past a year then yeah go for it. Pros and cons were pretty even.
