I waited a few years to write this to make sure I didn’t provide a review based on emotion. I lived here from October 2021 through July 2022. This was the worst apartment complex and management, comparing other complexes I rented from (The District & Hawthorne House). The leasing agents were kind at first, when trying to market the Addison to get you to sign a lease but after that, they were rude and always gave me the impression that I was bothering them when I had a question or needed assistance. During my stay, I saw people’s cars vandalized and tires stolen in the parking garage. A lot of crime was occurring and there was a lack of safety & security as the gates were frequently broken. I did not feel safe here. When I moved out, somehow the management charged me fees that were not accurate. I just paid it and got out of there as fast as I could. Not a good experience!
I feel bad for anyone who lives here. I toured here because it’s very affordable, but after the tour now I see you get what you pay for. First of all the employee “Alyssa” wasn’t welcoming or friendly at all. The whole tour experience was unpleasant and awkward. She was on her phone the entire time and barely interacted with me. That alone made me not want to live here. The complex itself is nasty- there’s dead roaches and trash everywhere, all of the garbage bins are filled to the brim like they’ve never been emptied. Because of this apartment’s unhygienic nature, every area and floor we entered smelled so bad. The interior and carpet is outdated and dirty. It’s truly a shame because the units themselves were pretty nice and the price is great for students like myself, but this place (and the employees) have a lot to work on in all aspects.

My friend lives at the Addison and I am happy to say I will NOT be living here. As a visitor I parked behind the residential gate that only resident’s have access to opening. I parked in the visitor parking for a from Friday night to Saturday. Sunday we come to find out that my car is completely gone. At first I thought it potentially got towed but, after calling the police and filing a report, my car was actually STOLEN from the property. Someone was fully able to steal my car WITHIN the property past a gate that’s supposed to be only accessible to residents. I will say that there are security cameras, however, when I asked to see the footage the office worker was going to check it thinking it got towed. Then all of a sudden when it’s mentioned it’s stolen he asked me “how did you come to determine that it was stolen not towed” and all of a sudden could not access the footage after all, but yet was going to check when he thought it was towed. Clearly this complex hates taking accountability. To be at an apartment complex, park in designated visitor parking, BEHIND THE GATE WHERE ONLY RESIDENTS CAN OPEN, and to still have a vehicle stolen is beyond me. This is my friends home, she is supposed to feel safe where she lives and to see I’m not the first review that has had vehicle vandalism just truly baffles me. For me to visit for a day and a half and have my car stolen from the property that has cameras, yet has someone working that can’t access footage also baffles me. DO BETTER ON SECURITY. MAKE YOUR RESIDENTS AND THEIR GUESTS FEEL SAFE. I can assure you this place is not for you if you want to feel safe and have a car in great condition.
They take your keys if you’re visiting or delivering and then leave them unattended in the unlocked lobby for anyone to take.

I recently visited this apartment complex with a group of friends to explore leasing options, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
When we arrived, we requested a tour, and the receptionist, Alisa, informed us that she could only show us the amenities and not any available units. While we understand there can be policies around this, the way it was communicated felt dismissive and unwelcoming especially considering we are prospective tenants and students genuinely interested in leasing.
Throughout the tour, her behavior was quite unprofessional. She barely spoke, didn’t engage with us, and seemed more focused on using her phones than interacting with us or answering our questions. It felt like we were just being led around without any effort to provide information or make us feel comfortable. At multiple points, we tried asking questions, but they were either ignored or met with very minimal responses.
In contrast, Roel, the Assistant Manager, completely changed our impression. He was approachable, polite, and took the time to answer all our questions thoroughly. He treated us with respect and showed genuine interest in helping us understand the property. His professionalism and attitude were exactly what we expected when visiting.
Overall, the property itself seems decent, but first impressions matter a lot. Customer service especially at the front desk plays a huge role in how potential residents perceive a place. I hope management addresses this, because experiences like this can easily drive away interested applicants.
