⭐️ 1-Star Review
I would not recommend living at The Villas at Tech Ridge. There are serious issues with security, property maintenance, and management that have made living here increasingly frustrating.
There have been homeless individuals with shopping carts walking around the property in the middle of the night, which is concerning and makes the property feel unsafe. There appears to be a lack of adequate security or enforcement to address these issues.
The pool area is another major problem. There are frequently large, loud parties with people who do not appear to be residents, making it difficult for actual residents to enjoy the amenities they are paying for. Noise and overcrowding are ongoing issues.
The property itself also appears poorly maintained. The TV and grills at the pool have been out of service for well over a year, yet they remain part of the advertised amenities. Several of the pool cabanas also have ripped and worn cushions that have not been properly replaced.
For the amount residents pay to live here, I expect basic security, functioning amenities, and reasonable upkeep of the property. Unfortunately, The Villas at Tech Ridge has fallen well short of those expectations. I would strongly encourage anyone considering moving here to visit the property at night and take a close look at the condition of the amenities before signing a lease.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would, during my 14-month lease at The Villas Tech Ridge, I was constantly disappointed. I normally don’t leave reviews, but I honestly wish someone had warned me before moving here.
For starters, the property is filthy. The staircases are constantly covered in trash, the parking lot is full of litter, and it creates an awful smell every time you come home. Parking is another nightmare. When I had guests over, there was no clear warning about the towing policy until after of course and their vehicles ended up getting towed.
The apartment itself wasn’t in great condition when I moved in. There were cracks in the tile, paint splatters all over the floors, dirt that was literally stuck to the tile and required heavy scrubbing, and chips in the walls that were already there before move in. Now that i’ve moved out, I’m somehow being charged for damage that existed before we ever lived there. I’m also being charged a cleaning fee after I spent hours on my hands and knees scrubbing that apartment.
My dishwasher never worked the entire time I lived there. The front office was never helpful, and maintenance issues were either ignored or never fully resolved.
The noise was another huge issue. Neighbors regularly threw house parties well past quiet hours, and nothing was ever done about it despite multiple complaints.
The security was also incredibly concerning. The front gate barely worked for almost our entire lease. It just stayed open most of the time. It wasn’t until my work van was broken into that the gate suddenly started working again. I don’t blame the apartment for someone choosing to break into a vehicle, but I do blame them for failing to use one of the few security measures they had in place. That’s unacceptable.
On top of that, I’ve seen homeless people sleeping in the gym bathrooms, and mail theft was a constant issue.
Now that I’ve moved out, trying to get answers has been just as frustrating. I emailed them about being charged for damage that was already there before we moved in, and instead of helping, I’ve just been given the runaround. Now I’m being told I have to wait even longer to speak with a manager, even though I’ve already been out of the apartment for two weeks.
Overall, this place was not worth the money. Between the hidden fees, poor maintenance, lack of security, constant trash, noise, stolen mail, and management that doesn’t seem interested in helping residents, I would never recommend living here. If you enjoy paying premium prices for a dirty property with poor management and surprise charges at move out, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.
