  ⭐ 1 STAR — I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD I am extremely disappointed with Clayton Homes and the way they have handled what appears to be a serious foundation/structural problem with our double-wide. Our home is not even a year old, and the floors are already dipping badly in multiple areas. The dips seem to be getting worse, and walking through a practically brand-new home and feeling the floors sinking and uneven is absolutely unacceptable. At this rate, we are genuinely concerned about what continued movement could do to the home. We reported the problem under our warranty, and it took about a month just to get someone scheduled. We were originally expecting a contractor, but instead Clayton Homes tried to send a handyman to address the issue. I refused to allow the handyman to touch the foundation or attempt repairs. A potential foundation or structural problem in a nearly new double-wide is not something I am comfortable having handled as a basic handyman repair. We have repeatedly made it clear that we want a proper inspection by a qualified, appropriately licensed professional who specializes in structural/foundation issues, yet we still have not had that inspection. We bought the land-and-home package through Clayton and expected a new home that would last—not floors that are developing major dips before we've even lived here a full year and then having to fight to get the problem properly evaluated. This is our HOME. This isn't a loose cabinet handle or a piece of trim that needs fixing. We are talking about the support underneath the home and floors that feel like they are progressively dipping. It honestly feels like if this continues, something is eventually going to sustain serious damage. The most frustrating part is that we have a warranty, reported the problem, and are still fighting just to get the appropriate professional out here to determine why a nearly brand-new home is doing this in the first place. I would absolutely NOT recommend Clayton Homes based on our experience so far. If they properly investigate the foundation issue and honor the warranty, I will gladly update this review. Until then, 1 star is more than this experience deserves.

  My husband and I are very impressed with these homes and the prices! The best part of our experience was with Bernave Martinez aka Mr. B! HE is so patient, caring, and informative. I highly recommend if you are purchasing a home to come see him.
