I’ve read another review that had the same issues as I did. Air conditioning unit that I have sounds like a truck honking. It happens at random moments but it’s terrible. I’ve asked them to fix it twice and they’ve stated each time that they have taken a look and fixed it but the same issue still occurs. The mattresses are the cheapest ones they could have afforded and they feel awful. I’m not asking for purple mattresses but no one wants to feel the springs inside of the mattress. 2nd floor public space feels like they just crammed everything there rather than having a purposeful layout. Theirs no space where people can relax and meet people sharing the apartment. Poorly designed building. Haven’t had any issues with from desk workers (could be a manager) but I feel like they are being pressured badly by someone. Just fix my air conditioning please and I wouldn’t have that much of an issue with this apartment

I lived here for a year and it was decent enough, I guess. For the first week, my room’s AC was so loud I couldn’t sleep because the magnet sensor was broken. They came to look at it a few times in the following months, but eventually it just stayed broken. Near the end of the year, someone broke their key in the garage door, and the door stayed unusable for the 2 months up until I left, so who knows if they’ve fixed it yet. The actual building requires a key to enter after a certain time, so that’s pretty helpful, but the garage is ungated and dimly lit, not to mention insanely narrow. But, even through all this, MY biggest problem were the roaches. Because of how high up my apt was (6th floor) I think I actually had less of a roach problem, and there were some weeks where I’d still see at least one a day. If you don’t mind concerns like this, then I guess the walkability to campus makes it pretty convenient, not to mention having wifi and water paid for—all you cover is electric. But, with other complexes having bus access I’d honestly think twice about ULofts. Editing due to their reply: I submitted a paper maintenance request about the roaches the week I moved in because I didn’t have access to their system, then again in person a few weeks later. My apartment was actually treated by pest control, which I have email proof for. When I asked about potentially doing another treatment, I was told it’s a long term thing and to wait it out a bit.

4 Years after I left im getting a notice from a debt company that for some reason I was still being charged 2 years after I left and wasnt informed. Why the heck do I have a random fee for gas from dte when I haven't lived here in almost 5 years.

Our experience with U Loft Apartments the last month has been great. When Texas Tech reconfigured some on campus housing, my son decided to look off campus. Not a big fan of the AI customer service over the phone but once we were able to get to the Lubbock office things were handled smoothly. Location is ideal, the apartments are newly refurbished and the common areas are clean. Had a couple of maintenance items at move in and they were taken care of quickly. With it being only one and two bedroom apartments it seems to be very quiet. The amenities seem to be well maintained also. At this time very pleased with everything.
