I lived in the 3-bed townhome style they offer for one year. The day I first arrived, it was clear the apartment was old and aging. There was mold on the wall near the living room window and there were white specks of paint all along the floor as far as the eye could see, along with some specks on the carpet in my room. Not very long after I moved in, our AC broke and it was not fully fixed until weeks later, although we were provided with portable AC units for our rooms. I remember early on the swimming pool being entirely green before it was treated and went back to normal. The blinds on the front door fell apart consistently throughout the year and I had to tape them all back together.
I can say that management was quick to respond to requests I put in throughout the year. Additionally, you can get to campus very quickly. If you need to live close to campus it could be a good option, however be aware that this apartment has already aged quite a bit and you will most likely have issues with the old appliances throughout the year.

I’ve lived at Scarlet for two years and stayed because I genuinely thought I could tolerate the issues. Unfortunately, I’m committed for another year.
My recent transfer was ridiculous. I was given 24 hours on a workday to move everything alone, only to walk into a kitchen and refrigerator full of other people’s belongings, rotten food, old takeout, and garbage. Management wouldn’t remove it because they “didn’t know who it belonged to,” so somehow I had to clean it. Then, while I’m still unpacking after work and school, I get a common-area violation notice.
I’ve also previously had belongings stolen after my apartment was accidentally left unlocked. There was practically no support afterward and no useful camera coverage.
After two years here, I expected much better. The lack of empathy, support, and basic common sense from management has been extremely disappointing.

They offer gift cards to students for a 5-star review. DO NOT TRUST THE 5-STARS. Internet doesn't work properly; Gym is constantly broken for MONTHS, with missing equipment.

Internet won't work for 10% of your day and they will refuse to fix anything, ping-pong'ing back and forth in between the internet provider and them. They can kick you out of your next lease if someone offers to pay more than you do for the same spot. They do not care for any of your needs and the only thing good this place offers is a broken starbucks machine that spews hot water only for 80% of your stay here.
