  How come you have more than enough parking and you’ll tow a person who wants to watch football with a friend. On top of that it’s over 300 to get the car back. Cheaper to get a house at this rate. This is absurd. I’ve been pretty open minded about everything so far but the fact that this is how y’all react for something this minor. I recommend finding another residence establishment.

  It's beyond disgusting, honestly. They show you this place, and on the tour, it looks all polished and perfect. What a lie! The second you get there, you realize it's a sham. The gates? Never closed, like anyone can just waltz in. And whatever you do, steer clear of any room with a tree right outside the window. That leafy menace will spend its nights scratching away at the glass, making this unbearable screeching noise that will drive you completely insane. It's pure torture. It’s over priced .

  DO NOT LIVE HERE!! Management is so rude to everyone, they seriously get off on taking advantage of students! All units are way overpriced especially for what you get. My air conditioning broke 3 times just within the months of June and July and one day when maintenance came to “fix” it, they left my apartment completely unlocked and open for hours, I wasn’t even made aware of them coming into my apartment at all. Management did not take my concerns about this event seriously in the slightest despite there being several break-ins happening in neighboring communities due to the same negligence by maintenance. Moving out, they charged me for any little thing they possible could, despite most being problems already present when I moved in. There was not a single time I spoke to anyone in the leasing office and had a positive experience, they get paid to sit there and ignore you then talk down to you when you finally speak up. Future potential residents, I promise there are better places to live especially better student communities. Of the 3 different apartments i’ve lived in since coming to Tech, this is the absolute BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. I only lived there for one semester, but can list off all the problems I experienced for hours. This place is not worth your trouble!!!

  Be extremely cautious when moving out of The Scarlet at Lubbock. My overall experience with the management team and their move-out billing practices has been very frustrating and unfair. Upon moving out, management hit me with unjustified charges for basic turnover maintenance, including drywall patching and touch-up paint (alongside an initial cleaning fee that they only dropped after I formally disputed it, since I left the unit far cleaner than when I moved in). Before handing over my keys, I proactively asked their maintenance staff what was needed to prepare the walls. Maintenance specifically told me to patch the small holes from standard wall hangings so the unit would be prepped for regular turnover paint. I followed their exact instructions in good faith. Afterward, management turned around and billed me for the very patchwork their own staff advised, claiming it was "beyond normal wear and tear." When I requested to speak with the maintenance team to confirm their instructions, management flatly refused, stating maintenance "does not intermingle" with billing disputes. They expect residents to pay for standard turnover painting on walls that have not had a full repaint in years. Also, be wary of the high rating here. Most of the positive reviews come from promotional events and giveaways where management actively solicits 5-star ratings from residents in exchange for perks or contest entries. Do not expect accountability or fair handling of your account once your lease ends. Make sure to document every single interaction and wall imperfection if you decide to live here. PS: You can also afford a multi-bedroom house in Tech Terrace for the same or lower cost that they charge you for a 1x1 studio.
