I would not recommend living here if you value sleep, peace, or quiet. Every morning feels like an alarm clock I never asked for. Around 7 a.m., the maintenance crews start up with leaf blowers and other loud equipment, and the noise continues for hours. Not occasionally. Not once in a while. Almost every single day.
I understand that apartment communities require upkeep, but there is a huge difference between maintaining a property and creating constant noise that disrupts residents’ daily lives. It has gotten to the point where I expect to be woken up every morning whether I want to or not.
What makes it even more frustrating is that many residents have children, work late shifts, work from home, or simply want to enjoy a day off without being blasted awake by landscaping equipment. My baby gets woken up regularly, and so do I. We end up starting the day tired and irritated because there is no escape from the noise.
The apartment looks nice enough, but management’s lack of consideration for the people actually living here is disappointing. Residents deserve more respect than being subjected to hours of unnecessary noise every morning. It feels like resident comfort comes last, and after living here, it definitely shows.

Honestly, this place isn’t the worst apartments to stay at, but management makes living here way more frustrating than it needs to be. They seem way more focused on getting people to sign leases than actually handling residents’ concerns once you move in.
There were literally raccoons living in the walls for weeks. You could hear scratching, running, and even fighting inside the walls at night. It felt like nobody really cared until a pipe burst. And the pipes randomly bursting seems to be a recurring issue here.
There are also foundation problems because my bedroom and bathroom doors don’t even fully close, so privacy barely exists. Then on top of that, landscaping and construction start super early in the morning and go on for hours. Constant mowing, leaf blowers, construction noises, etc. even when they JUST mowed the grass the day before.
Some front office staff are also rude or dismissive when you bring up concerns. Again, not the worst place ever, but management seriously needs to focus more on residents instead of just filling units.

Guess what? The apartment gym is still filthy and broken, even after a review with pictures 3 weeks ago. Edgewater responded that they would handle the reported issues -- they have yet to do so. They are content to let residents pay thousands of dollars in rent for access to broken gym equipment, dirty floors, chipped walls, and dangling TV cords they can't even be bothered to put up. 🤦♀️

The gym is disgusting. You will pay $1200+ a month for broken equipment, deflated exercise balls covered in dirt, a water machine that never has cups and the filter never changed, and a clock that's either broken or turned to the wrong time of day, hours ahead. The Edgewater needs to do better!
Edit: And, OMG, not their ChatGPT reply. 🙄 Just MAINTAIN your property that residents pay thousands of dollars for. You are not even aware of how filthy and broken your own gym is unless residents tell you about it.
