**Do not move here until Brook Adams is FIRED.**
She has been an absolute nightmare to deal with, and in our experience every interaction became unnecessarily adversarial and a living nightmare.
What makes this so frustrating is that we were excellent tenants. We paid on time aside from one isolated banking issue, caused no problems, and actually loved living here. The water features, peaceful atmosphere, and overall property were genuinely wonderful.
Unfortunately, every positive aspect of Crescent Cove has been completely soured by Brook Adams and the management experience.
We repeatedly told staff well before our lease ended that we were moving and not renewing. Nobody told us those conversations were insufficient or directed us to submit additional written notice. After the deadline passed, management suddenly hid behind the fine print and tried to charge us roughly another month and a half of rent.
They also claimed a renewal notice had been delivered to our door containing the 60 day deadline and an additional $100 month to month charge. We never received it. Not a single email, call, door posting, client portal notification, NOTHING. When we asked for proof, delivery log, photograph, employee record, system entry, anything, they produced nothing.
Apparently their unsupported claim counts as proof, while repeated conversations with their own staff count for nothing.
And frankly, the way this was handled left us with the disturbing impression that residents are kept inadequately informed and then financially penalized for it afterward. Whether that is intentional or simply staggering incompetence, the result is the same: management benefits financially from communication failures that they refuse to take any responsibility for.
Their attitude throughout has essentially been: “Not our problem. Pay us.”
It is genuinely unfortunate because this could be a fantastic place to live. But the arrogance, hostility, complete lack of accountability and total incompetence from management destroyed our opinion of the property.
Great complex. Horrendous management. 0 stars.
My mother moved into this community less than three months ago, and unfortunately, it has been one disappointment after another.
The move-in process was poorly managed, but we chose to overlook it, hoping things would improve. They didn’t.
The maintenance department is one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Residents have to submit the same work order repeatedly and constantly follow up before anyone responds. Even when maintenance finally arrives, the repairs are often rushed, incomplete, or done so poorly that the issue remains unresolved.
The management office is no better. Instead of helping residents, the staff are consistently rude, dismissive, and visibly annoyed whenever someone reports a problem. It feels like addressing legitimate concerns is treated as an inconvenience rather than part of their job.
The condition of the property is also unacceptable. The grassy areas are covered in dog waste because many pet owners don’t clean up after their dogs, and management appears to do nothing to enforce the community rules. As a result, it’s unpleasant—and in some areas nearly impossible—to walk outside without having to avoid piles of dog feces.
For the amount of money residents pay to live here, this level of neglect and poor management is unacceptable. If you’re considering moving here, I strongly encourage you to think twice and look at other communities where residents are treated with respect and the property is actually maintained.
Save yourself the frustration—do not move here.
The Apt maintenance team is always so kind and responds to my requests
Right away. I really appreciate how quickly they take care of everything
El ice maker fue remplazado a la brevedad pero no está funcionando. Ya tiene 24 horas de cambiado y no ha hecho hielo solo 12 cubitos de hielo
Do not move here. From my experience, the management here does not really care for their tenants wellbeing or take you seriously. I moved in February of this year and immediately after began to feel sick. I went to the doctor several times between then and May for recurring respiratory issues, and my health continued to decline rapidly. I developed severe asthma which I’ve never had before in my life. Come to find, there was mold all throughout the HVAC system in our apartment, especially in our bathroom vent. Their response to this was to send their maintenance foreman to come into our apartment, not even bother to look inside the vents or investigate this thoroughly, and immediately dismiss it saying it’s dust not mold because he “couldn’t smell it”. Look at the pictures and tell me that’s not mold. Ariel, the manager, continued to dismiss it saying “Well since the maintenance guy said it’s not mold, then it’s not mold.” He wasn’t even in our apartment for more than 10 minutes, half that time he was arguing with us that he couldn’t smell any mold. Ariel even had the AUDACITY to tell me through email that it was my allergies making me sick, as if she knows me and as if I don’t know my own health. That in itself was completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior from a manager. We had to hire and pay for a third party mold testing company to come in to test and have the evidence it was indeed mold. Thankfully they let us out at that point with the proof, but not after those weeks of dismissive behavior.
I’ve never felt so mistreated by a property in my life. The short months I was here were hell to my physical health and my husband and I were dismissed and disrespected too many times by management. The other ladies in the office at least were kinder to us and tried to work with us through this difficult situation, but Ariel’s behavior and responses were rude and unacceptable.
My advice to you is to stay away from renting at this complex. Mold illness is nothing to be so careless about, and the people in charge here don’t care at all.
