  My husband, Jim, has been there since the middle of March and I want to share his, and my, affection for the wonderful staff who are very kind and encouraging. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I want to especially point out Staci , who went on a week’s vacation the day after Jim was admitted (late on a Friday) and told me to call her anyway with any questions or problems. I DID call and she was happy to help. Mary, the med tech, has been SUPER at helping me work out all his medications in the transfer from Grapevine medical center. Jim broke his femur and has been having both PT and OT at Truewood. He also has memory problems. He’s making great progress! Therapy is a separate fee. I’m there almost every day and all the residents I’ve talked to have been happy there.. I’ve loved the activities they have for them-especially the groups who come to sing all those beautiful old songs. Jim tells me he “nailed” a recent activity which required knowing songs and artists from the 60s and 70s. The price you pay depends on the needs of the resident. There is an evaluation done every 6 months by nursing staff. I expect Jim’s price to come down next time due to his progress. I do have to say that we couldn’t afford for Jim to stay there long if we didn’t have good long term care insurance. They’re very good at going over everything with you prior to your decision to move in. For me, my hubby is 2 minutes from our home now rather than half an hour.

  My aunt is living here and loves it. The staff is so friendly and gives great care to her. They have a community dog, Josie, that brings so much joy to my aunt and the other residents. She has made so many friends because the residents are so kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend Truewood Keller.
