  I was genuinely excited to move into **Villages at Briar Forest**, but my leasing experience has been extremely disappointing. When I applied, I specifically asked to see either the apartment I was leasing or a model of the same two-bedroom, two-bathroom floor plan. I was told there were no units available to tour because mine was still occupied. After I was approved, I asked again and was told I could see the apartment on move-in day. I later learned there was a model apartment available the entire time that could have been shown to me. Then, just two weeks before my scheduled move-in—and only because **I** followed up to confirm everything was ready—I was informed that the apartment I leased was a **"Classic"** unit rather than a renovated unit. This was never disclosed during the application process and was not identified anywhere on the website, brochures, welcome materials, or lease documents. Had I known this from the beginning, I would have chosen a different apartment. When I asked for an accommodation because of the late disclosure, I was initially told my only option was to pay a higher rent for a renovated unit. I was also told there was no corporate phone number and that the employee assisting me was "just a leasing agent," only to later learn she was actually the Assistant Manager. Communication throughout the process was consistently poor. Multiple phone calls and voicemails went unanswered, including two messages I left after having to reschedule a model tour. I never received a callback. I repeatedly had to follow up myself, and if I hadn't, I likely would have shown up on my move-in date unaware that the apartment I leased was materially different from what I believed I had rented. The leasing office eventually honored my original rental rate on a renovated apartment, but only after I challenged their claim that the website disclosed the difference between Classic and Renovated units. Unfortunately, that solution delayed my move by an entire month, after I had already given notice to my current apartment, hired movers, and scheduled utility transfers. I have now incurred additional expenses to extend my current lease and reschedule moving services. My biggest disappointment isn't that a mistake happened—mistakes happen. It's the lack of transparency, accountability, communication, and urgency in resolving it. Prospective renters deserve accurate information before signing a lease and responsive customer service when problems arise. I sincerely hope management reviews its leasing practices so future residents don't have the same experience I did.

  I recently moved into this community, and so far I couldn't be happier with my decision! The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and has already started to feel like home. The leasing process was smooth from start to finish, and my leasing agent, Melanie, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, professional, patient, and always willing to answer my questions. She made what can often be a stressful process feel easy and enjoyable. Everyone I've interacted with has been welcoming, and the community has exceeded my expectations. I'm excited to be living here and would definitely recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a great place to call home!
