  DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!! IF I COULD RATE THESE APARTMENTS A NEGATIVE 10 I WOULD!!! My grandparents who are in their 70’s and RETIRED are being RIPPED OFF by these apartments. (Going to try to make this as short as possible) My grandparents lived here for maybe almost 2 years, and they lived 5 mins from me so I was always over and helped them move to BOTH units here. The first unit was 1115, prior to moving ANY of their personal items including furniture, my mother and I took pictures of the unit to have handy in case the apartments did not want to give my grandparents back their deposit. After a year or so, my grandparents lease was coming to an end, however my grandparents were planning on renewing the lease. The manager informed my grandparents that they would need to be moved since the unit 1115 was going to need to be worked on, (they did not specify what exactly). My grandfather has arthritis in both of his knees and we don’t have much family to help, mind you I have 3 kids. Anyhow we moved them to their new unit which is 403 and they PAID ANOTHER SAFETY DEPOSIT. Before giving the keys to 1115, my grandmother and I deep cleaned the entire unit top to bottom, NO DAMAGES WERE MADE, they didn’t even hang any decor and they were always on time with rent. When we moved them to unit 403, my grandmother already signed the lease and everything and the moment we stepped inside that unit, NOTHING BUT GERMAN ROACHES IN THE KITCHEN. So obviously the apartments sent for their pest control, which didn’t fix the roach issue (I know it’s going to be impossible to get rid of them I used to work for a pest control company), however the issue resumed and got even worse. The roaches spread like wild fire to the restrooms and bedrooms, hell even to their closets. THE APARTMENTS STARTED CHARGING MY GRANDPARENTS FOR EACH TIME MY GRANDPARENTS REQUESTED TO HAVE IT DELT WITH. Fast forward to now, their lease has come to an end, roaches are still a problem and NOW the management is informing my grandparents who are RETIRED that they are not going to provide my grandparents with their deposits or either unit since there was “damage” and on top of that they are saying that my grandparents OWE FOR UNIT 1115!!! Hahaha NEVER DID THEY ADVISE MY GRANDPARENTS WHEN THEY MOVED INTO THE 2nd UNIT THAT THEY OWED FOR THE PREVIOUS UNIT. And again, my grandparents did not put up any wall decor or do anything to the walls. And now they are saying they the only way to POSSIBLY “fix” the issue is to dispute. Ohhhh and by the way , I went to speak with the MANAGER AT THESE APARTMENTS AND SHE NEVER ONCE CAME OUT TO SPEAK WITH ME EVEN AFTER I REQUESTED NICELY TO SPEAK WITH HER. She just had her leasing agent be a messenger. NEVER GOING TO RECOMMEND THESE FILTHY, LYING, STEALING APARTMENTS TO ANYONE!!!!

  If i could put 0 stars i would. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I’ve lived here just barely 3months they have roach infestation they gave me apt with rat infestation i did mold test to find out every room except the master has mold. I send emails to management and no response they say they fix things and they do not. You put in a work order they say it’s complete but it’s never been complete… not to mention i have a baby i can’t let her play around because animals have been her toys… instead of sending out pest control they put down palette save your money move someplace better These are just a few videos and pics

  The apartments are quiet for the most part, but that’s about the only praise I can give them. Roaches, roaches, roaches!!! This is roach central. We like to keep things tidy and clean but no matter how clean you are, the roaches persist. We pay for pest control, but you have to REQUEST treatment. We already pay for the service? They should come automatically. And whatever they use, does not work. Feels like they’re spraying water because this issue will NOT go away. The gates at “The Gates” stay open all day and all night. They should close for security reasons. We had an issue where the rain gutter in front of our apartments had come loose, and was hanging down IN our faces as soon as we exit the apartment. You had to duck under it in order to avoid it on your way down the stairs. Rusty nails and all. This was clearly a hazard, and we never had any maintenance people come and address this issue even though it had been reported my ourselves, AND our neighbors. Our neighbor had to tear it down himself, and it is still lying in the grass in front of our apartments. Trash can pile up at the dumpster, as was reported by another tenant. There was a time where it was overflowing for DAYS and DAYS. Trash was blown onto the apartments with the wind. Such an unsanitary site. Speaking of, pet disposal bins get full and do not get changed. While walking you can smell the bins, it is gross. The quality of living is not great. There are way too many semi trucks parked out in the street. They are loud and they block the view when pulling out of the apartments, blocking line of sight. When we look out of our balcony all we see is semi trucks. Some of the neighbors are quite rowdy with their driving. People like to zoom through the street here. But that’s more so an issue with the tenants themselves than the apartments. A speed bump in the street would be nice, since these people love to speed through here. The area is nice, and the office staff is nice but that’s about all of the praise I can give.

  I recently moved into The Gates Apartments and so far I’ve had a really positive experience. The apartment itself has been great, and the overall community feels welcoming and well maintained. I especially want to recognize Chloe and Jazmine in the leasing office. They both went above and beyond to help me during the move-in process and afterward. They were extremely communicative, friendly, and quick to help with a few common fixes that needed attention when I first got settled. Anytime I had a question or needed assistance, they were responsive and genuinely helpful. It’s always reassuring when the office staff is this supportive and easy to work with. So far I’m very happy with my decision to move here and really appreciate the great service from the team.
