  Ah The Beverly. She’s unpretentious, temperamental, dirty, grimy, sometimes charming, cheap and you get what you pay for. Students & young families, the elderly, some real scruffy folks here. Had a truly unforgettable experience Negatives: - Roaches. There are many holes along baseboards/cubboards/pantry/bathroom/everywhere, so that even if you keep your space clean they migrate through the building like the bouncing DVD logo from one mess to the next. Reported it to management for years and nothing changed. Pest control services they provided were ineffective and I spent lots of money on my own. As someone who never lived with roaches before this did psychic damage. No matter how hard you clean they always come back - Dumpster constantly overflows. People pile up bags nearby and it bakes in the sun. Smells like New York in July - The ac cannot keep up. With all the holes in the walls the cold air leaks out. Expect huge electric bills and the temp to stay at about 85 all summer - Pool was shut down by the city for months… I don’t even want to know… - Mold problem in bathroom and bedroom - reported this to management - they gave it the old landlord special and just painted over it - Forget having friends over because they tow like crazy. Friend stayed over for 3hrs and their car was towed - $350 each time. - Spots on the floor feel spongy, like whatever is underneath is wet - Walkways outside flood every time it rains, muddy. Pet waste everywhere Positives: - Management leaves you alone. Will only visit if you put in a maintenance request. - New appliances (stove/microwave/dishwasher), worked great, new carpets - Good noise insulation - never heard next door neighbors - You can walk to Exploration Green - huge plus. Miles and miles of trails and no need to drive anywhere. Great wildlife and beautiful wildflowers in spring - Fireplace works - Balconies - huge, lovely, private. Enjoyed a good beer with the sunset there often Remarkable: - Had a neighbor who sat on his porch and smoked all day, kinda like neighborhood watch I guess, had a pet monkey that wore a diaper - Neighbor told me her cats saw a demon in her apartment and protected her. Never saw one in mine, so I can’t say if that’s common here - Lots of airplane noise from the nearby AF base, but if that’s your thing you can see some cool military planes fly over - Somebody dumped a pair of kittens locked in a carrier near the dumpster once in the dead of summer, and a random neighbor I’d never met took them to the vet after I helped get them back in the carrier for transport. Many of the people who live here are kind and friendly. Lots of kids, seems like a safe place for them.

  I would NOT recommend living here. THE FIRST DAY of moving in, our AC stopped cooling, and our apartment reached 86°+ with no cool air. Our toilet also stopped working, along with several other maintenance issues that still haven’t been fully resolved. Management claimed they fixed both the AC and toilet, but when we returned home, neither was actually fixed. Instead of taking accountability, they tried to convince us that it was “normal” for the AC not to maintain the thermostat temperature and that the toilet “takes time to flush.” They showed very little sympathy for my partner and me, refused to let us out of our lease, and made what should have been an exciting move-in experience incredibly stressful. We also discovered a roach problem, and after speaking with several residents, it seems we aren’t the only ones who have had negative experiences. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. DON’T DO IT!

  First i just want to say amanda was amazing! she was very open and welcoming! I was looking for a 1Bedroom etc, and she immediately made sure i found what i was looking for. If i could leave her 10 Stars i would. She left many options open for me due to other things. i would ask for amanda anywhere when looking for 1 Bedrooms.
