First, I want to say that the negative reviews posted about this community are absolutely accurate. The lack of communication from management and the poor condition of the property are extremely concerning.
I received my keys on May 12, 2026, around 2:00 PM. During my initial walkthrough of the apartment, I immediately discovered roaches. When I brought this to the assistant manager’s attention, I was told that because I was living on the first floor in Texas, I should not be surprised. In addition to the pest issue, there were several other problems with the unit, including improperly cut carpet, rust on the AC unit and shower fixtures, a dirty toilet seat, and a cracked mirror.
The assistant manager submitted maintenance requests for these issues and informed me that pest control would be there the following day, Wednesday. However, when I returned Wednesday afternoon, roaches were still crawling throughout the apartment. Out of frustration, I went to Walmart, purchased Raid foggers, and treated the apartment myself.
On Thursday afternoon, I returned to check whether the treatment had worked, but once again, I found roaches crawling inside the apartment. I went to the leasing office and spoke with the front desk manager, who apologized for the inconvenience and said they would “see what they could do.” She never offered to inspect the apartment herself. I ultimately requested that both she and the property manager walk the unit with me. During the walkthrough, both managers acted as though they had never encountered a roach issue on the property. All three staff members claimed they did not see any roaches, despite the fact that I had seen them every single day.
Because of the infestation, I never moved any of my belongings into the apartment. At no point did management offer to prorate my rent or provide any reasonable accommodation for the fact that I was unable to move in. Instead, I was told I could transfer to another unit on the second floor for a higher rental rate, or delay my move-in for another round of pest control treatments. The property manager also told me that I counteracted the pest control that her team of exterminators did earlier Wednesday.
I have a severe phobia of bugs, and no one should be expected to live in these conditions. After consulting with both an exterminator and another leasing office, I decided to terminate my lease because I did not feel comfortable bringing my personal belongings into the apartment.
When I returned to the property today, I informed the front desk manager that roaches were still present and that I had video evidence. I asked if I could terminate my lease due to the condition of the apartment. Approximately three hours later, the property manager contacted me and stated that I would still be responsible for early termination fees, despite the fact that the apartment was not in livable condition. I later received an email stating that I would need to pay $2,200 to terminate my lease agreement.
When I returned my keys! I walked the apartment one final time to document additional footage. To my surprise, the apartment had suddenly been cleaned.
I have also reached out to the Director of Operations, Lauren and I am currently awaiting a response. I have never felt so dismissed and mistreated as a tenant. Please be cautious when considering this apartment complex. Based on my experience, management appears far more concerned with collecting commissions than addressing serious tenant concerns. Unfortunately, I am now out $830 with nothing to show for it.
Unfortunately, Google does not allow me to leave zero stars!
