  I have had such a beautiful experience at Durham Heights. The property is always kept very well-maintained, and my grass is cut once a week. The maintenance staff and property manager are amazing, fast, and efficient And very friendly. I’m grateful to have found Durham Heights and The Neighbors I have have made friends with. I look forward to renewing my lease at the end of the year. This is definitely the best property I have ever lived at in Houston 🤗

  Hello, I put in a maintenance request for several different issues, and the maintenance team was at my apartment within an hour. They were prompt, professional, and took care of everything efficiently. I really appreciate the quick response and excellent service!

  I normally don't leave negative reviews, but after what has happened over the past couple of months and year that I have been here, people deserve to know what they're getting into before signing a lease. My brother's car was broken into again for the second time. Thankfully, the thieves weren't able to steal his wheels like they did the first time. Unfortunately, another resident wasn't as lucky—their wheels were stolen. This isn't anything new at Durham Heights Apartments. Vehicle break-ins, vandalism, and thefts have become a constant problem in the parking garage, yet management doesn't seem to be taking meaningful action. They say they've hired a "better" third-party security company, but clearly that isn't solving the problem. To make matters worse, the parking garage gate has been broken and left open for the past two weeks, allowing anyone to drive in. What's the point of having a gated garage if it doesn't work? Another issue that management needs to address is the number of vehicles in the parking garage that don't appear to belong to residents. During the week, especially at night, there are many unknown vehicles parked in the garage that shouldn't be there. These vehicles fill up the lower levels, forcing residents to park on the upper floors—sometimes all the way up to the sixth floor. Those upper levels are quieter, have less foot traffic, and make it much easier for thieves to break into vehicles or steal wheels without being noticed. Management should be checking the parking garage regularly at night during the week, verifying vehicles, and towing unauthorized vehicles instead of allowing the garage to become overcrowded. The elevators are another ongoing issue. They're constantly out of service, making daily life frustrating for residents. If you're thinking about moving here, I would strongly reconsider. It's hard to have peace of mind knowing there's a real chance your vehicle could be broken into, vandalized, or have parts stolen while you're sleeping. This isn’t just based on one incident. My own truck was broken into. My brother’s car has been broken into twice, and his wheels were stolen the first time. They also attempted to steal the wheels from my wife’s car, but thankfully they weren’t successful. My mom’s friend had her catalytic converters stolen in broad daylight from the visitor parking area, where there are supposedly security cameras. When it happened, management claimed they “didn’t see anything.” Residents have repeatedly asked management why they don't install security cameras throughout the parking garage. Their response? They have one camera on the first floor. How is one camera on the first floor supposed to protect vehicles parked on the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth floors? Management will apologize and say they're sorry this happened, but apologies don't prevent future crimes. Residents want to see real action and better security, not empty promises. Don't let the 5-star reviews fool you. Scroll through the older reviews and you'll find plenty of photos and stories from other residents whose vehicles have had stolen wheels, broken windows, and other damage. Unfortunately, these incidents continue to happen. I genuinely hope management starts taking resident safety and security seriously because people shouldn't have to worry every night about whether their car will still be intact the next morning. Given how often these break-ins and wheel thefts happen, it honestly makes you wonder if it's the same person or group coming back over and over because they know this property is an easy target. Whatever the case, the pattern is clear, and until management takes stronger action, I don't see these crimes stopping.

  I’ve had a great experience living at this apartment so far!! And most likely renewing when my lease ends! The property is well-maintained, clean, and welcoming, and the staff consistently go above and beyond from throwing events or helping us with anything very fast! I would highly recommend Durham to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming place to live. Plus h the area is amazing!
