If I could give zero stars, I would strongly recommend avoiding this property and renting from them at any of their other properties. I have lived here for just over a month and have already been moved between two different units both of which have experienced significant issues.
My first unit had a serious insect infestation, including insects coming from inside my appliances. Despite repeatedly reporting the issue, I was told that it could not be happening because the property is newly constructed. Eventually, I was moved to another unit.
Unfortunately, the second unit has had its own set of problems. Shortly after moving in, I experienced significant water damage and flooding. Management attributed the issue to a severely dirty A/C filter. However, given that this is a brand-new construction, that explanation was concerning, and an A/C filter should not be used as an explanation for what appeared to be a plumbing or drainage issue.
The response to the water damage was also extremely frustrating. I immediately expressed concerns that leaving the water sitting for several days could result in additional damage, yet a fan was placed in the unit instead of addressing the underlying issue. Ultimately, baseboards had to be removed, and it took nearly two weeks to completely resolve the problem.
I have also had an ongoing sewage odor coming from my bathroom sink. The smell is extremely strong and resembles raw sewage. I have reported this issue repeatedly for nearly a month, yet the maintenance requests continue to be marked as completed even though the problem has not actually been resolved.
My experience with the office and maintenance staff has been equally disappointing. Communication has often felt dismissive, and I have repeatedly felt as though my concerns were not being taken seriously. After speaking with several neighbors, I have learned that I am not the only resident who has experienced problems with the management and maintenance teams.
There are also ongoing reports from other residents of excessive ant infestations, black widows, and other pest issues. The fact that this is a new construction should not give prospective residents a false sense of security. New construction does not excuse unresolved maintenance issues, plumbing problems, pest infestations, or poor communication.
My advice: do your research before signing a lease here. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this property.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. Our experience with YardHomes has been absolutely terrible from the beginning, and there always seems to be another issue.
First, the communication and lack of help from the front office has been incredibly frustrating and TERRIBLE. One of the employees, Amber Mullins, has repeatedly been unable to help with issues or has told us one thing, only for something completely different to happen afterward.
The parking situation is a perfect example. Residents are only given 5 visitor parking passes per month, which is ridiculous if you have multiple people living in one home and ever plan to have family or friends visit. My fiancé, her sister, and brother-in-law were personally told by Amber that visitors could park outside the gate and in the future-resident parking spaces. Multiple people were present for that conversation including my fiance, her sister and my brother in law.
Despite following what we were told by the leasing office, they later sent an email saying vehicles could not park there. At essentially the same time that email was sent, a towing notice was placed on my vehicle. Police were also brought around the vehicles when we got home. It is incredibly frustrating to have an employee tell residents where their guests can park and then turn around and threaten to tow those same vehicles for following those instructions.
The condition of these units has been another major concern. My fiancé and her neighbor both moved into brand-new units, yet both households experienced serious ant infestations. For WEEKS, ants were crawling throughout their homes, including their bedrooms, and family members were being bitten at night. My sister-in-law is allergic to ants and was breaking out from the bites. The front office was made aware of this, and we did not feel that the situation was treated with anywhere near the urgency it deserved.
My brother-in-law eventually had to spend his own money treating the inside and outside of the home because they could not continue living with ants crawling everywhere. There are also visible gaps throughout the siding of these supposedly brand-new units, which speaks of the terrible quality of these cheaply built units and know for a fact this is a contributing factor to the ant problem. Also, not to mention when they moved in, no one thought to even walk through here and sweep up all the dead bugs, or remove the bugs that were PAINTED over on the wall, remove all the dirty water bottles, etc…
Between the pest infestation, the condition of the units, the parking situation, conflicting information from management, towing threats, and the complete lack of urgency when residents ask for help, this experience has been exhausting. My fiancés neighbor and her family are BOTH exhausted with this place. They have only lived here for 3 weeks.
We are now trying to escalate these concerns beyond the onsite office and determine what management company or ownership group oversees YardHomes because dealing with the onsite staff has gotten us nowhere.
Also, they sent out an email that said if you went and left a review about Yardhomes, you’d be entered in to win a $100 Visa giftcard. That right there just goes to show you shouldn’t move here….. a property should speak for itself. If people love it, they would do it without a motive.
If you are considering moving here, please do your research first. Based on what our family and their neighbor have experienced, I would NOT recommend YardHomes. BEWARE. We will tell everyone about this place and how terrible it is.

*this review is about our experience before we move in*
Amber, the leasing consultant in the office was amazing! We toured 3 different 2b/2b floor plans before settling on the one we’ll be moving into. The property is great and the single home units and yard were honestly everything I’ve been searching for, for months!! Amber answered all my questions and concerns, (I like to have all the information before I can make a decision lol) via phone and email! The whole process was very smooth and so easy! I have been living in apartments for 9+years and this was one of the best and quickest experiences of the process I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to move in, i’m October!

We've had a wonderful experience during the month we've lived here. The move-in process was effortless, and anytime we've had a question or concern, the management team has been quick to help and made everything easy to understand and resolve.
After dealing with our previous leasing company, where it often felt like nothing was ever taken care of, moving into YardHomes has been a completely different experience. Living here feels luxurious, with everything we need right at our fingertips.
The amenities have truly elevated our daily routine. It's nice to wake up and decide to get a workout in at the gym, and then relax by the pool afterward. (Even throw something on the grill if we felt like it!)
The management team also goes the extra mile by bringing neighbors together & hosting events, making it easy to meet people and feel connected. And more importantly safe! Almost where you forget to lock your doors- but, of course they took care of that too. With living in a smart home, it’s that easy to lock up after you leave!
If you're looking for a place that combines great amenities, ornate floor plans, with responsive management and a welcoming community, I highly recommend YardHomes!

I love living at YardHomes Rowlett creek! The community is quiet and everyone is friendly. The leasing office staff and maintenance crew is very nice and always on top of their job. The moving experience was smooth and easy but the signing documents and gathering all the required documents was a little confusing with some parts but the leasing staff made sure to help answer all of my questions and concerns. The office hosted a fun and memorable pool party! They provided all the goods and made sure everyone had a great time! This place so far has been an enjoyable and great place to live at 😊.
