Reconsider moving into The Reese at Eastchase
The day I was suppose to move in ,I was told the apartment wasn’t ready for move in at 4:30 pm with my U-HAUL in the parking lot .Nobody took the time to call me and tell me it wasn’t ready . I had to sign a new lease .
I was provided with 3 different keys to see which key worked . I toured the new apartment by myself.
There were several visible things that needed to be fixed . Turned in a maintenance request it took several weeks for the repairs to get taken care of. The maintenance request are stacking up because they quit due to being over worked and no supplies to complete the job.
I moved in April 27,2026 ,my apartment was broken in May 29,2026 .
I had to tape trash bags up to my patio door ,I called the office to remind them about my patio door .
When they pushed it off I called Code Compliance.
The patio door still hasn’t been fixed and today is July 10,2026 . Im still being contacted about the apartment because the leasing agent gave me 3 keys to see which one works to the apartment and didn’t take the time to make a copy of the key and keep a copy for the front office.
They lie about pest control coming out.
The landscaping for the property isn’t maintenance on a regular.
Resident don’t clean up after there pets.
Water being shut off every week due to water leaks .
Trash through the property at dumpster,in the parking lot on porch that causes bugs to nest . Photo online look nothing like the unit you will receive. Weight room is closed ,business center is closed pool has been closed for years due to repair by the city of Fort Worth . The front office looks like the picture online .
The short time I was there I seen 6 different people filling in the front office from other properties .
The communication is horrible, offering special then to be told that special is no longer available.
The property manager isn’t trustworthy…
She will lie to you in your face with a straight .
Don’t waste your time .

My concerns here at the Reese are the new maintenance team plus so many other issues...I have put in request after request for almost 2 months...not even one call back or answer. Plus maintenance team will put a complete and they haven't even worked on anything yet.... what is going on???? Furniture is always outside. Trash and dog feces are everywhere. Painting of the railings outside the staircase are peeling off, which makes the complex even worse. When you are in the front it's nice but then the back is bad. Rocks are everywhere also. God for bid you run over some and your tires get messed up. You're paying for pest control but when is the last time pest control came in?? Don't know what is going on but I need to rethink renewing when my lease is up. It's not right!!!!!

We reported that there was a sewage leak from an air vent in our bathroom (certified poop water). This caused green and black mold to spread on the ceiling and to all of our personal belongings. It has been over 2 months since we reported it and the mold still has not been removed. The damage to our personal belongings totals over $2000 dollars, and the apartment doesn’t seem to want to reimburse us. THIS APARTMENT CHARGES ALMOST $3000 TO TERMINATE YOUR LEASE!
Added Disclaimer: You may see the Reese at Eastchase comment below that this leak was “reported on June 16th”. This is a lie. The leak was reported in April, after 2 months of maintenance doing nothing to fix the situation I called Fort Worth Code Compliance on this apartment, and once there was the threat of a citation the Reese finally fixed the leak but left the mold. Around the 16th they falsely marked the issue as resolved (even though there was still black and green mold from the leak on the ceiling). I pointed this out and they created an entirely NEW work order as if the issue started on June 16th, which it didn’t. It is currently July 2nd and the mold has grown back.

I have rented at the Reese at Eastchase for the past 13 months, and it has been nothing but a nightmare. First, they advertise the property as an up-and-coming luxury apartment. This could not be further from the truth. The complex is DIRTY. There are animal feces EVERYWHERE as well as broken beer bottles, joints, blunts, and even needles. Not only are the grounds dirty, but the apartments are nasty. When I first walked into my apartment, it smelled heavily of motel and cigarette smoke. It is hard to breathe in the unit at times because of how intense the smoke smell is. It also reeks of pesticides. Why? Because several of the buildings are infested with pests. Whether it be rats or roaches, the buildings have a problem with pests, and you have to pay a pest fee (included in the rent), but they won't even bring pest control to you or confirm if pest control has had the time to go to your unit. I have had issues with pests for most of my lease and have had to deal with it on my own because management does not seem to care to fix the actual issue; they only cover it up instead of getting to the root of it. You pay for valet garbage, but half the time the garbage company misses the trash for whatever reason, and then you're stuck paying a fee that you don't even get the service for. I can go on about how poor my experience was, but I want any potential renters to just understand that this place is not clean or safe. The gates do NOT close. They have been promising for years that they are upgrading security and installing an intercom system, but it hasn't been done yet. The gates are kept open at night. There are several homeless people that squat in empty units and go around trying to open doors to see if they have been left unlocked (mine included). I have had my car broken into, and when asked to get the security footage so I could verify and make a police report, I was ignored by the property manager. There are dogs that roam the property without leashes even though it is against the rules and I have had a dog jump on me as well as charge me and my small dog while on a walk. It is not safe. Even making complaints about all of this (and more), nothing was done for me in my 13 months of living here. If you are debating whether you should move into the Reese, please take the negative comments with the upmost consideration, as these are all people who are frustrated with management and know how bad this place is. The property has potential, but you're not renting for potential. You are renting for what it is. The only positive I have with the Reese is Cree and her commitment to doing the best she can for her residents under the circumstances. The pattern with the positive reviews is that they usually are praising Cree, and she deserves all the credit for making the best of this. Aside from her, everything here is run-down, dirty, unsafe, and expensive for what it really is. Please do yourself a favor and do not rent here.
