I am not a resident here, but I regularly visit two friends who live here, and I have been coming to these apartments for a long time. I recently met a new lady who moved in, and she has been having a lot of trouble adjusting to the community. From what I have personally seen, she has had several issues with management regarding things around her home. She was written up for having plants by her front door and for having a door camera. She was told that the area around her front door needed to remain empty, other than her doormat. She was even told that they really don't allow doormats, although they were willing to let her keep hers. She was told by the manager that she could decorate her patio. She had Halloween decorations on her patio, but was later told to take them down. What makes this confusing is that I have personally seen other residents with decorations on their patios, as well as pumpkins, plants, door cameras, and other items around their front doors. I have taken photographs documenting some of the things I have personally observed. I'm not posting them to embarrass anyone or cause problems for other residents. I'm simply trying to understand how the rules are supposed to work when one resident is being told she can't have certain things while other residents appear to have similar items. It's honestly difficult to watch someone who is new here become so frustrated and upset because she feels like she is constantly being approached about something. I understand that apartment communities have rules, and residents should follow them. But if rules are going to be enforced, I believe they should be enforced consistently and fairly for everyone. I'm only a visitor, but I've been coming here for a long time. Based on what I have personally witnessed and what this new resident has experienced, I would not choose to live here.

My Experience as a New Resident So Far I’ve only been living here for two weeks and three days, so I’m still learning the community and getting a feel for how things work. Overall, it’s a pretty quiet place, and I wouldn’t say it’s a bad apartment complex. There are definitely some things I like, but there are also some things that have surprised me. My biggest concern so far has been the restrictions around our entry doors. I recently received a complaint about the area directly in front of my entry door. I had a tomato plant and another vegetable plant that I was growing, along with a couple of decorative horseshoes that belonged to my deceased father. I like having those horseshoes displayed because they mean something to me and remind me of where I come from and where I came from. I also had a wind chime hanging by my door, which is something you see throughout the community. I honestly didn't think I was doing anything unreasonable. I wasn't blocking the walkway or trying to create a problem. These were simply a couple of plants, sentimental decorations, and a wind chime near my own entrance. I was surprised to receive a complaint about it, especially as a new resident who has only been here a little over two weeks. I’m not saying that someone else having something outside their door automatically means I should be allowed to have it too. I understand that communities have rules. My concern is whether those rules are being communicated and enforced consistently. I’ve noticed other residents with plants, bicycles, furniture, grills, and other items in different areas of the property. Some residents have been here for years, while I’m brand new. That has made me wonder whether newer residents are held to different standards than residents who have lived here longer. I’m documenting everything as I go—not because I’m trying to start problems, but because I want to have a record of my experience. I may even share a picture of the notice I recently received so people can see exactly what I’m talking about rather than taking my word for it. There are also some other things I’ve noticed since moving in. The pool could definitely be cleaner. I took my boys swimming one day, and that was my personal impression. I do appreciate having a fitness center, but when I recently went inside, I noticed there didn't appear to be AC or adequate airflow. When it's around 100 degrees outside, it gets extremely hot inside. I personally don't feel comfortable exercising in those conditions because I don't want to risk getting overheated or passing out. The apartment itself has also been extremely warm. I’ve had to consider purchasing an AC unit for my son's room and possibly my own room as well. For the price of these apartments, that’s an additional expense I wasn't expecting. There were also some difficulties before I even moved in. I was originally told my unit would be ready on the 5th, but it wasn't ready when I arrived, so I ended up having to take another unit. I also had an uncomfortable interaction with a worker when I first moved in. I understand everyone can have a bad day, so I’m hoping that was simply an isolated incident. Despite all of this, I want to be fair. This isn't me saying this is a terrible place to live. It’s actually pretty quiet, and there are things I like about the community. I'm simply sharing my experience as a new resident. For me, the biggest issue is consistency. If there are rules about what residents can have around their doors, windows, balconies, or other areas, I believe those rules should be clearly communicated and applied equally to everyone. Whether you've lived here for two weeks or several years, everyone should know what is expected of them. That’s my experience so far. I'm not trying to attack anyone or cause problems. I'm just documenting my experience and sharing what I’ve personally seen and experienced.

Do not move here! I lived at Aden Crest Apartments 3 years ago for a couple years and am still dealing with them. They refused to fix our severe bathroom ceiling leak. They also sawed into our unit when doing work on the outside of the building. Work orders submitted for both and we were still charged at move-out for both, and then some. Beware.
