DO NOT LIVE HERE!! Our unit was broken into TWICE while living on the first floor. Management would not let me out of my lease despite only having 4 months left on it. Only offered a different unit which would have been useless considering that I was graduating after the lease was done. Scary situation considering that it was an all female unit and the intruder was a male. Police reports were made for both incidents but were dropped due to them not being able to find the intruder. Unit was dirty and infested with cockroaches. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Please reconsider signing a lease here especially if ur a girl.

The only reason I’m giving Midtown 905 three stars instead of two is because of the maintenance technician, Kemani. He was honestly the best part of living here. Every time I submitted a maintenance request, he was kind and professional, even outside of maintenance. He deserves the recognition. My biggest issue with Midtown is the way lease renewals and pricing are handled. After only about 2-3 months of living there, I was already being contacted heavily about re-signing my lease. It makes you feel like you have to make a decision immediately or you’ll lose your apartment… Your lease is still valid until the near end, so don’t let anyone pressure you into renewing months in advance. I made that mistake, and completely regretted it and by April/May they were advertising the exact same floor plans for much lower prices than what I had locked myself into. They’ll try to explain it by saying the market for renting is the reasoning behind high pricing of renewals, but each year it has been consistent in dropping around the time the new students are enrolling in school. They’re also going through major management changes right now, so I’d definitely recommend asking plenty of questions before committing. If you’re worried about roommate placement, I’d suggest getting a 2x2 and being as detailed as possible in the roommate preference section. That will probably give you the best chance at having a comfortable experience. Overall, Midtown 905 isn’t the worst place to live, it’s clean and livable, but I personally wouldn’t stay longer than a year because of turnover and inconsistency. If you decide to lease here, take your time, know your options, and don’t let anyone rush you into signing a renewal before you’re ready.

Thankfully, this lease agreement ends after two years of mismanagement, unclear charging, lack of listening and just poor judgement by management. My daughter moved here against my advice, following friends during her stay in Denton as a student at UNT. I will not spend all day on this, but here are some highlights: -Getting charged for rental insurance when we posted rental insurance. 6 months of asking it to be credited, never happened. -Move in day: place was not even made ready. Stains on the carpet, dingy walls, ect. Two months in, a flood upstairs leaked down into the apartment. After weeks of complaining someone came in and doused the carpeted and affected areas with a chemical that left a smell for months. Headaches. Bad sleep. When I asked for action, nothing happened. Year two: Posted fees for things that we did not need, but was told nothing could be done with it. Did not sign up for Catalyst Credit Reporting, yet charged every month. Original lease contained electricity as our only responsibility, yet water charged as well. Many, many more. I would make sure you read all the fine print, and cover all bases. Management is inept, doesn't care, and is not available much to solve issues. Today I paid the last rental payment. She is supposed to move out on the 27th, which means I am paying for 4 days that she wont be living there. I guess I don't care anymore. Champagne on Ice. Waiting for that day.

Michael was very great. He was very attentive and answered all my questions with ease. And he I think we’re gonna end up signing the lease today. Can’t wait to start living here.
