  This has been one of the worst apartment experiences I have ever had. The apartment was not properly cleaned when I moved in, several things were broken, and the actual unit looks nothing like the photos used to advertise the property. The photos make the apartments look updated, clean, and well maintained, but that has not been my experience at all. I came into the leasing office almost every week asking for updates on maintenance issues, and it still took months for certain repairs to be completed. Some problems are still not fixed even after repeatedly following up in person. My dishwasher was broken and sitting with standing water for months before they finally came to “fix it” but just left a new dishwasher in my living room for months - i guess i was supposed to replace it myself, and maintenance has left messes behind after entering my apartment - after bringing it up, they had me clean it myself because they wouldn’t send anyone over. On one occasion, someone entered my apartment for maintenance and left feces sitting in my toilet. That is completely disgusting, disrespectful, and unacceptable. After dealing with months of unresolved issues, poor maintenance, and constant follow-ups, I politely asked management to let me out of my lease. Instead of taking responsibility for the condition of the apartment and the lack of service, they are still trying to make me pay to leave. I have tried to be patient and reasonable, but residents should not have to repeatedly visit the office just to get basic repairs handled. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering moving here look beyond the staged photos, tour the exact unit they will be receiving, and carefully read the reviews before signing a lease. That assistant manager Brianna or whatever her name is - is super unprofessional and has provided me 0 help while I’ve been here, she always blames the problems on upper management or the maintenance team never taking responsibility for anything.

  My fiancee and I went in yesterday on 5/10/26 in a panic because we needed to apply and move in ASAP. Stephanie was absolutely incredible. She gave us tours of 3 different apartments within our budget, showed us around the property, gave us advice on things to do in the area, etc. We got approved within 24 hours, and the apartment is STUNNING. Huge shout out to the team (especially Stephanie) for getting us approved and moved in so fast. Thanks you guys!!

  Would not recommend anyone to move into these apartments. I’ve lived here for four months and still have not received my mailbox key, not a single maintenance request has been answered, my dishwasher has never worked and it has black mold, the staff is very rude, dismissive, and incompetent.

  Update: I emailed on 06/26/2026 and still have not received any response. I was told maintenance would come last week to"look" at dishwasher, again. Nothing. They are only going to give you a generic response and the staff now is very dismissive. Zulma is no longer here and that was the one person who tried their hardest at a drop of a dime. I am so upset. Imagine paying $1400 per month and not having full capabilities of your apartment complex since the start. I have always remained calm, understanding and patient but the property will take your kindness for weakness. I have stayed here at Verlaine on The Parkway for 2 years and recently renewed my lease. I was skeptical but wanted to provide an opportunity with the changes that have been made but it was honestly the wrong idea. I have now started seeing roaches and ants but pest control has to be requested even though they make you pay monthly. The plumbing works when it wants and feces will back up into your tub. Someone was just robbed in the apartments last night and the gates have not worked since I have been here. Management says that it is not their responsibility to ensure or provide safety to the community. The trash builds up and is thrown throughout the complex. There has been multiple occurrences of fights and suspicious activity in the apartments recently with no indication of assistance from management. We are unable to use the amenities such as washer/dryer in the apartments, none have worked as long as I have been here. I am seeking counsel because we have not been able to utilize our apartment as stated in the lease. Management will give you the runaround and make you feel as though you are not entitled to be safe in your own home. There are people that have been living here for 5 plus years that have moved out recently due to the downfall. I intend on this being my last year as well. They also took the hours of operation down so you have to guess when they are open. Many times they will be in the office and not open the door, even after seeing them. I’ve attached photos of the drug activity outside my door and the trash for now.
