  🚨🚨‼️‼️PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING LIVING HERE‼️‼️🚨🚨 This was the longest & most difficult 10 months of my life. The first apartment I moved into had the worst and STRONGEST smell from a previous tenant AND was INFESTED with German roaches. When I notified the office of the smell & bug problems they ghosted me for about 2 weeks. Finally when the manager returned they did react in a very kind way however, I did have to wait 3 months to be moved units even after notifying them I was having allergy flair ups to whatever smell was left in that space. I now know that they should’ve offered me a temporary space in the meantime, like a hotel room due to them being in breach of contract. For those moving here please know your rights…apartment complexes in Texas are LEGALLY required to provide you with an ODOR FREE & CLEAN space. I did also have to wait for a first floor unit due to my 94 year old grandmother needing to be able to visit 3 times a month so my mom (her primary caretaker) could take care of her errands and she was not able to get to the second floor. When I finally moved units (had to pay for this on my own as well which was $800) my truck was involved in a hit and run. The village security told me to ask the office to put in cameras because they do in fact have the budget it just requires a lot of paper work. However, when I talked to the office I got told that wasn’t possible. 3 cars were involved in that hit and run. The problems only got worse from here - my neighbors packages were getting stolen, the German roaches were still very present and the ant infestation is OUTRAGEOUS. The bug problems at this property are not for the faint of heart. Not only did I have to pay $2,500 to fix my car I had to throw away $1,500 worth of electronics due to the German roach issue along with spending $250 on my own pest control products to try to at least contain the roach and ant issue. My mental health was so bad after 6 months I went to the main office to see if I could transfer neighborhoods. I told them about my experience and got told “you get what you pay for”. Then the leasing agent proceeded to tell me about the carpet beetles she had living at the village Dakota. That confirmed my suspicions about poor upkeep of all the properties. Sure the amenities seem nice however, the amount of mental anguish caused by the bug infestations are not worth it. I spent countless sleepless nights trying to keep the bugs out and I can promise you this property is NOT WORTH IT. Please look elsewhere and save yourself from these old, overpriced apartments. The only good thing that happened during my time at the village was that they let me break my lease early without having to pay. (Only because they are “wanting to keep the reviews good”)

  I wanted to give a shoutout to Lara, who facilitated the painting of my apartment. She was on top of it from the beginning and quickly made it happen. Working with Lara was a very pleasant experience. Mark M.

  As a whole community, the village is in a nice area. The village bend apartments specifically I would recommend NOBODY live there. You’ll run into cockroaches, bugs, and I saw a rat, yes a rat in my apartment and when I called the 24 hour maintenance line they couldn’t do anything about it. I ended up getting my own pest control to come and they said there was nothing they could do to help make amends for my payment even though I tried reaching out to them first. The apartments are very very old and it’s just not worth it for how much you pay. You can get a much better apartment for the same price.
