Lease is almost up and writing a review to educate others on these apartments.
Pros :
Apartments are close to most stores.
Quick access to the major highways.
Cheap apartments.
Staff gets a 2.5/5
They can sometimes be helpful.
Cons :
The parking is very limited. Trash everywhere left by tenants kids. Or the drinkers of the community.
Roach infested apartments.
Issues with literally everything.
The pool wasn't open until the end of June this year
A/C barely works. Something is always leaking. Bathroom faucet still leaking after being "repaired". I'm sure the apartment foundation is shifting. Front door used to close not it doesn't. My roof leaked during a huge storm they didn't come and inspect until two weeks later. They outsource their repair man since they're short handed. Their on site laundry doesn't work properly and messy.
Now story time. This is my literal first time renting an apartment but I'm not naive to most things about renting. I thought I could deal with a roach here and there and having to use the laundry facility. But I should have known this was going to be a bad time from day one when I was moving in. I got security called on me. Front desk gave me a key to move in and I walked back to return it and there they were with the security pointing towards me. Brushed it off whatever. After a week of living here I noticed they gave the whole apartment the landlord special and painted over everything. ROACHES AND ALL (see pictures). When I first moved in they said they were going to bring in pest control for the roaches. Never heard a thing since. As a guy I bought my own stuff to deal with it. After about 3 months I stopped using the laundry facilities because the machines never work properly. Tenants or their kids make a mess. I've had shirts stained from whatever was left over in those washers. Tried to use their other on site ones, only for all the doors to be locked. Asked about it and was giving the run around.
Now the very last thing absolutely pissed me off. Is somehow my apartment attracted BED BUGS!! Never in my life have I had those until moving here. The complex tried to blame me for them. And now thinking back it's probably from using the on-site laundry. I know I'm not the only one that has bed bugs in the complex as well. They said it was supposed to get treated. 3 treatments 3 weeks. And it took them over a month to do 1 treatment. Still haven't done the other 2 treatments and I've been living on the couch trying to kill them all myself. It's been at least 2 months now. And I'll probably still be sleeping on the couch until the end of the lease because they fail to do anything. Mind you I'm a clean guy. I've had multiple maintenance guys compliment me on how clean my apartment is versus the other tenants here.
Definitely looking into the codes of Dallas and the living laws about living conditions because damn this is crazy.
Just stay away from these apartments.
