  Negative officw response and maintenance are so sweet but under staffed! Office help super difficult to communicate with according to a source i know! I do not live there but heard some not so pleasant issues for tenants!

  I was a homeowner from 1992 until 2017. I had never lived in an apartment community and never wanted to. I moved to Texas and ended up here at the Brownstones in 2023. First impression - clean. Cute. Mature-tree lined entry. No junky cars. I followed a car in the gate (something I wish we could change to single vehicle only) and drove through the neighborhood. Still clean, still no junky cars. Quiet. I decided to go to the leasing office. I was greeted by a very welcoming agent who talked to me about options and then we walked to the place I now call home. I have had very few things I have needed addressed by the office in my almost 3 years here. When I put in a maintenance request it never takes as long as their “boiler plate disclaimer” says it may. Very responsive and the crew is always happy and friendly. There have been a few new additions to the neighborhood that don’t seem to fit. (loud, messy, parking in fire lanes, driving the wrong way, etc) but when the issues are brought to Kedra and the office staff, things are handled smoothly and professionally. The pool is tiny. WAY to small for a community if its size. The community is NOT energy efficient. The windows and patio doors are old and radiate massive amounts of heat. The frame gets hot enough to burn you. I have my thermostat at 82 and the A/C still runs constantly. We are not allowed to put things over the windows to try and mitigate the effects of 100 degree temps. An upgrade to energy efficiency is desperately needed. The units crack and creak LOUDLY. Their trash pickup game is fantastic. The “yard crew” is great. Everything is always mowed, pruned, leaf blown etc. (even though my townhouse is the only one with zero landscaping…) I am sure they would appreciate the few who don’t pick up their dogs poop to do so (we see you). The community has food truck Friday - fun! They have an outdoor space with games and a fire pit. They hold toy drives for kids at Christmas. This is a townhouse community that actually wants to be a community. That’s rare. Summing it up - this is a nice place to live. Great office that is responsive. Close to everything. Clean. Quiet (for the most part) Always looking for ways to make things better. Needs some upgrades. A few bad eggs in there, but it seems they don’t get to stay and rot the barrel. Don’t be the bad egg!
