  Vanessa is totally amazing !! I am 62 years old and I don’t know how to use a computer well . EVERYTIME there’s something new that needs to be done , I go to her , and she helps me with a BIG SMILE ON HER FACE! . This new Tow Company changing was so hectic for me , but once again , Vanessa to my Rescue. . Thank you Montfort Place for having her as a part of your team .

  My partner and I moved into Montfort Place mid May; Our first night in the unit we started to see German cockroaches of all life stages coming out of drains and sockets, a full infestation. Our roommate who was supposed to move in a few days after us never even moved her stuff in because conditions were so bad and we didn’t want risk exposing even more of our possessions to infestation. We were clear and communicative with the front office immediately and requested a unit transfer. Instead they sent basic pest control, spraying and fogging did nothing for the infestation; Instead of seeing them in the kitchen we started to see them come from the laundry room/bathrooms. On top of the disgusting unlivable conditions we were expected to stay in, our oven didn’t work. We submitted multiple maintenance requests, leaks in the sink, dryer hook ups that weren’t up to code, cracks along the walls that were even more access points for roaches, and multiple outlets with no power. Jesse, maintenance, came by for a few minutes maybe twice and left for supplies, never coming back or updating us. He even left a monster energy drink for days on end and never returned? That was the extent of the offices efforts… Our emails weren’t even responded to until we attempted to escalate the situation. With no efforts to resolve the problem themselves or even offer us a solution, we found a new apartment. We’re out hundreds of extra dollars repacking our possessions to try and keep them safe from roaches, paying for our own pest control, and hiring movers to get us moved for the second time in a month. Upon trying to return our keys and explain our situation, my roommate was yelled at by the assistant manager, Laura, in front of other residents. Laura tried to blame the pests on us even though we had sent photo evidence of roaches day 1, she had also seen the unit herself when we first arrived and was visibly disturbed by the amount of cockroaches in the space. She also tried to claim my roommate never handed over our keys, instead of just checking her desk she continued to berate my roommate, gaslighting her, making her check her bag and car only to find them directly on the desk where they were put in the first place… Laura also tried to pressure my roommate into signing a document saying we were breaking the lease even though we had printed a document stating the unlivable conditions! The whole situation was very manipulative and unprofessional. After my roommate had calmed Laura down, we were told there was nothing office management could do as far as refunding us the deposit we’d paid to be in that awful place! We were given an email address supposedly for Gaines Investment, the property owners, the email address wasn’t actually set up or reachable! We’ve tried to remain respectful and reasonable but the front office doesn’t care in the slightest and seems to do all they can to give you the run around.

  My husband and I have lived here for the last 8 years. While no apartment complex is perfect, we have always found prompt resolutions to any issues. Assistant Manager Laura went above and beyond for us recently and is one of the reasons we will continue living here. Thank you to the office team who make us feel like valued residents!

  Dog poop EVERYWHERE, the grass is not safe to walk in. You are privy to an unlimited supply of mold in your bathroom/around your ac vent. The parking spaces are so small you may not be able to enter your vehicle if cars are parked on either side of you. If you purchase a covered parking area be prepared for broken corona bottles to be in your parking spot, and or an unauthorized vehicle. The leasing staff changes almost yearly, typically aren’t the most pleasant people. This properties saving grace is Marcus the maintenance guy, he is prompt, polite, and has been there longer than any office staff member. Hopefully he is paid adequately for the hard work he does. Overall I will say do not move there. If you want to be in the area, try The Solaris, or the apartments directly across the street from Montfort Place. You have been warned.
