I do not recommend Candlewood. They claim they only handle emergency calls, but whenever we had an emergency, maintenance took a very long time to respond. For example, our AC was not working for almost two weeks.
Also, our ceiling collapsed. We called on April 11. They were unable to come that day because we weren’t home, which is understandable. The manager, Roxanne, said maintenance would come on Monday. Monday came, and nothing happened. Now it is Friday, April 17, and they still have not come.
UPDATE : We contacted the office again on April 17th, at which time Yolanda stated that maintenance would be sent. However, maintenance did not arrive until April 23rd. During this time, we were left without a ceiling for nearly two weeks, which is completely unacceptable.
Due to the lack of timely repairs, we were forced to move out as soon as possible. Despite our repeated calls and efforts to resolve the issue, maintenance was not provided in a reasonable timeframe.
Furthermore, we are now being asked to pay the rent for May. Given the circumstances, we do not believe this is fair, as we made multiple attempts to report and address the issue. It is unreasonable to hold us responsible for a situation that was beyond our control.
