  They had the best price but everything else was bad! They won’t Let you inside the home to look at things until they’re on site with you. They don’t try to catch any errors They simply rely on you to the point of things out that are wrong. They have no quality control! So many things were wrong with our home, Issues with the trim, issues with the drywall, Several drawers and cabinets, Paint not matching on the outside, tears in the flooring, and so on. In the grand scheme of things, these were all small issues. But there was several of them. Mind you they didn’t point out any of these issues they walk around pretend to be blind and say everything looks great. This whole experience was very stressful, but it was only the start. Not only was it up to me to inspect the home and determine everything that was incorrect. What came next was even worse. It took 13 months to get those issues Addressed. Communication for the whole process was awful. Nobody wanted to take accountability. The people in the office blame the people In the field. The people in the field blame the people in the office. I’ve waited to write this so I could have all my thoughts clear because I wanted to write a fair review. I purchased this home 18 months ago. Brett was my sales person. He promised the world and then delivered on nothing. And simply pointed his finger to the repair manager, Who is friendly, but does not drive results. If you’re going to do business with these people, expect a stressful Interaction, You must have the experience to catch everything they will do wrong and make them fix it. At the time of purchase, they did have a very good price on the home that we bought. Something like $10,000 cheaper. So I would do it all again, but other than the price I have nothing good to say.

  Absolutely horrible build and customer service. My home wasn’t sealed properly with the outside, which lead to mold. 7 months living in this home. I was ignored for months. I went and had mold testing done and the levels were extremely high. I informed them- still ignored for months. After a year of callings, and many many emails they sent an inspector out. The whole process has been horrible. And the lack of communication is why I don’t recommend Clayton homes. If there is an issue with a home while under warranty they push it off.

  Brett was my main contact, but he’s been ignoring my calls. I’m requesting a refund since my loan wasn’t approved, and getting it has been a real hassle. Be prepared for their attitude when you call and ask for any information.
