I moved here in February 2026 from out of state. The worst part of my move in experience was it happened to rain pretty hard, up until we were almost done moving in all the furniture then the rain stopped. Since being a resident for a few months now I can honestly say it’s a pretty comfortable environment. I recently had to make a maintenance request on minor issue and it was promptly resolved. I can say the manager is top notch! Anytime I happened to have a question she’s always been available, personable and easy to talk with. I don’t know who’s responsible for the community relations events but it definite makes you feel like to belong to a community. There’s always something going on from raffle / give aways, free coffee in the office every day and all sorts of planned events. I’m a fan of the root beer float day, because ice cream on a warm day hits the spot. I see all the employees working non-stop, which from the outside, appears like the manager, Mae has a well-oiled machine running between all the staff members working in sync to keep the hundreds of residents comfortable in what ai estimate to be hundreds of units throughout the properties. They also send out an email with daily updates about the community, planned social events, groups to join or just information about upgrades. I’ve noticed just since I’ve been here, the parking areas got new paint, some nice decorative safety railing / fencing in the parking lot near the elevated stair areas. Maintenance on our pools which are open, beautiful and relaxing. New pickleball courts, which I fully intend on participating in. I read a couple of poor reviews and can say from what I’ve seen, Mae and her staff are doing their jobs but it takes a village. I’d like to see us all do better in taking a little pride on our property and ensuring littering in the parking lot ends. It’s not staffs job to clean up cigarette buts or wrappers tossed out of cars instead of taking it to the trash dumpsters. Lastly they have little dog walk areas with pet waste bags located throughout the property to clean up after your dogs, which I eventually intend on using once I’m ready to get me a dog! I’ve seen the ‘facelift’ the property has been doing and the couple of riff raff tenants that have been evicted and can day, the Halston is a safe, quiet and constantly improving property that I enjoy calling home.
Bruh this my 3rd time pullin’ up to this property. Every time it’s the same. I walk in and everybody in the lobby waiting on one dude. Phones ringing off the hook, people standing around, and bro trying to help everybody by himself.
I wasn’t even mad, ‘cause I could tell he was swamped. I told him I’d just come back another day. Then I noticed another resident looking irritated like he’d been waiting forever too.
This place got me wondering what’s really going on. Ima just try again next week and hope they got more than one person working the front.
A friend of mine is a current resident. The property manager was rude regarding visitor passes, the apartment had wasps, the unit was flooded and when I asked about the pool I mean leak in the kitchen and living area I was told by my friend I put in a request, they have yet to acknowledge the severity of it. I was shocked that my friend was living in an unsafe and unfit environment. I was appalled. Do not rent from this property. I continuously saw insects in the unit, I had to wear crocs to walk around the downstairs area, the washer didn’t work we had to go to the laundromat. I’m not from Texas and I was excited to get the Texan expierence. If this is what it’s like living in Texas miss me with that. There’s no pride or unity or care for tenants at the Halston
current resident. i have on going issues with water leaks, broken amenities, no communication (unless forced by resident), wasp & roaches, ect... I live quietly and I don't complain - just go to and from work - and yet, living here I've been forced to speak up and enforce safe living conditions over and over again. makes me uncomfortable pushing issues again and again with no resolution causing conflict between myself and the office. I wish they cared more about the resident's perspective and what they have to live through and not about the money. It's a shame. I'm writing this for anyone who may be thinking about signing a lease soon... I would keep looking around because even when your ceiling starts caving in and leaking water, you will not get out of the lease without at least a $5,000 fee.

This place deserves no stars at all. Forget living here, this place is not even good as a storage space. Absolutely horrible and disastrous experience. Would not recommend it at all. You’ll be living with 1000s of cockroaches, moldy washrooms, leaky washing machines and an AC that doesn’t cool the house but generates a whopping 300$+ monthly bill. Maintenance requests are a joke. Horrible, horrible and only horrible. This is a genuine review posted by an actual resident living and experiencing all these things. Megan is the only person who helps and is genuinely good person. Nothing else deserves a star here.
