Room is very small, for the amount of rent that I am paying. Also restroom is not inside the bedroom, I dislike this very much.

I’ve lived at Rev Northgate since my freshman year, and now I’m an incoming junior, so I’ve had plenty of time to see what it’s really like living here. Honestly, I feel like Rev has gone downhill over the past couple of years. The biggest issue is that it simply isn’t worth the price anymore. Every year the rent becomes harder to justify, especially when there are so many newer, more modern apartments around Northgate that offer nicer amenities, cleaner facilities, and a much better overall experience for around the same price. To make things worse, they charge a “premium floor” fee for living on certain floors… except it feels like almost every floor is considered a premium floor. You’re paying extra for something that doesn’t actually come with any noticeable benefits. Cleanliness has gotten noticeably worse. There have been multiple times where throw up sat in the hallways for weeks before anyone cleaned it up. The hallways and common areas often look dirty, and it feels like management waits until residents complain enough before taking care of things. The pool is another disappointment. It always seemed dirty whenever I wanted to use it, which is frustrating considering it’s advertised as one of the main amenities. The elevators are a constant headache. They’re frequently out of service, painfully slow, or so packed that you’re waiting forever just to get upstairs. During move-in, move-out, football weekends, or busy nights, you’re almost guaranteed to spend way too much time waiting. There’s a little market downstairs, which is convenient if you’re desperate, but the prices are honestly ridiculous. Expect to pay way more than you would for the exact same snacks or drinks at a grocery store or convenience store. Guest parking is practically nonexistent, which makes having friends or family visit way more stressful than it should be. For the amount residents pay, there should absolutely be a better guest parking system. Maintenance has honestly been one of the worst parts of living here. One maintenance employee was incredibly rude when dealing with an issue with my air conditioning. He tried to tell my dad something that wasn’t true about the situation, refused to give his name when asked, and then hung up on my dad. I’m almost certain it was the same employee who had previously come into my apartment because I recognized his voice. During that visit, he made condescending comments toward me and acted like I didn’t know what I was talking about instead of actually listening to the issue. It was completely unprofessional. The residents can also make living here frustrating. Obviously not everyone is like this, but I’ve noticed a lot of people here are rude and inconsiderate. People leave trash in the hallways, slam doors late at night, blast music, yell in the halls, and don’t seem to care that they’re sharing a building with hundreds of other students. One thing I’ve noticed over the past couple of years is how common theft has become as welcome mat are being stolen from outside their door. It sounds minor, but it says a lot when residents can’t even leave a doormat outside their apartment without worrying it’ll disappear. The walls are unbelievably thin. You can hear conversations, music, alarms, people arguing, doors slamming, and pretty much everything your neighbors are doing. Privacy is almost nonexistent. The only thing Rev really has going for it is the location. Being able to walk to campus and Northgate is incredibly convenient, and that’s honestly why I stayed as long as I did. But if you’re looking at apartments for next year, I would seriously recommend touring the newer places around Northgate first. After living here since my freshman year, I can honestly say If I could I wouldn’t choose to live here again. It’s become overpriced, poorly maintained, and nowhere near the value it used to be.

My daughter and I attended Texas A&M’s New Student Conference today, and unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience with the marketing team representing Rev Northgate. There were two apartment communities marketing to incoming students. I won’t name the other community because my review is about our experience with Rev Northgate. Throughout the event, I found the representatives from the Rev to be unnecessarily aggressive in their approach and, in my opinion, unprofessional in the way they interacted with both prospective students and the neighboring apartment representatives. One moment that stood out was when representatives from the other community accidentally knocked over a cooler of complimentary water they had brought for students and families. From where I was standing, it appeared that the representatives from the Rev Northgate laughed, made ugly facial expressions, and made comments that I felt were inappropriate given the situation. It felt like bullying which should be ridiculous at their age. I also personally overheard representatives from the Rev making negative comments about the competing community while speaking with prospective residents. As someone unfamiliar with either property, I found it disappointing to hear one business focus on criticizing another instead of highlighting its own strengths. During the event, I also observed the Rev Northgate representatives interrupting conversations at the neighboring table and attempting to redirect prospective students to their own booth. The students and families involved appeared uncomfortable to me. I have worked in business and hospitality for many years, and professionalism and respectful customer interactions are incredibly important. Based on what I observed today, the conduct of The Rev’s representatives did not reflect the level of professionalism I would expect from a company trying to earn new residents. I would be embarrassed if I ever found my staff to be conducting themselves in this manner. Because of this experience, my daughter and I have decided not to consider Rev Northgate. We had a much more positive interaction with the other apartment community, and left with a far better impression of their staff and level of professionalism. They spoke kindly of their competitors while informing of us of their ongoing specials and rates. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional training on professional, respectful interactions with prospective residents and fellow businesses. First impressions matter, and unfortunately today’s experience left us with no interest in leasing at the Rev Northgate.

I’ve had a great experience with Rev Northgate so far! Every time I’ve called with questions, the staff has been extremely helpful, friendly, and quick to assist. Their website is also very organized and easy to navigate, which made the leasing process simple and stress-free. Dani gave us a very insightful tour and was excellent. She was very kind and willing to answer all our questions. Overall, they’ve made everything feel smooth and welcoming, and I’m excited to be living there this year!

I had my Aggie daughter residing at REV from day one she entered College Station. Of course we seek a safe clean and place with all amenities and privacies in order to feel like home as much as possible. And at REV, we found these criteria met. In addition to mentioning about all modern amenities and facilities that REV offers, and like probably other buildings in Colege Station do, I would like to mention about the crew who made our residential life easier in manny ways. Some of them, heartful people, no longer serving at REV as they moved forward in their career path. Some of them still there. And here I would like to bring into attention, at least a couple of people who made my daughter living journey at REV very comfortable. I am referring here about DANI and Valentina. Both of them, are very knowledgeable about the admin procedures and always made clear answers to any sort of billing questions and gave the best counseling. There were situations when both, Dani and Valentina, were following up to my issues with management and never let their overwelming job forget or postpone addressed problems at the time. All the time, Dani and Valentina were not only helpful due to the fact that they know what they are doing, but also they were very polite, professional in communication and friendly in attitude. They helped us every year to schedule residential transition from one apartment to other, feeling no burden about it. I feel right to express these thoughts in writing, since my daughter graduated and left Colege Station. I am grateful to all people that served for us at REV. I hope that this line of good service will always be at this level or even better. I would like to express in the end, my best regards to all REV members who work there. So long!
