Lori was patient, knowledgeable and followed up afterwards regarding availability for a potential move-in for October.

I’ve lived at Century Cedar Hill for less than 30 days, and it has been one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. My move-in process began on July 11, 2026, and from day one, things have gone wrong. When I toured the apartment, I expected it to be move-in ready. Instead, when I received my keys, the apartment was dirty, covered in scuff marks, had pet dander from the previous resident, and smelled unpleasant. Other than a freshly painted bathroom, very little appeared to have been prepared. I notified the leasing office immediately and was told someone would come clean it. No one ever showed. I ended up cleaning the apartment myself. The financial issues have been even worse. My move-in payment was duplicated, and I was prompted to pay a second security deposit even though I had already fulfilled that requirement through the property’s approved third-party deposit program. Management repeatedly told me to contact my bank. My bank confirmed the payment had been processed and advised me the leasing office had to resolve it. For over a week I was bounced back and forth with no answers before the duplicate charge finally disappeared without any explanation. I was also promised a move-in special that included one month of free rent. When August rent became due, the promotion had not been applied to my account. I was repeatedly told to wait while management corrected my balance. The adjustment wasn’t made until August 5, yet I was still charged a late fee because the balance remained incorrect. I also have unexplained charges carried over from my move-in statement that no one has been able to explain. When I went into the leasing office looking for answers, I expected someone to resolve my account. Instead, I spent nearly an hour and a half with the property manager discussing everything except a solution. I left with the same unresolved issues I walked in with. Then came maintenance. While I was literally in the leasing office, my water heater began leaking. Maintenance responded and, because of a language barrier, we communicated through Google Translate. I was told the problem was fixed. It wasn’t. The water heater continued leaking, and after it was shut off, I was left without hot water. I submitted another maintenance request August 5. As of August 6, no one had returned to repair it. The leak continued, the container I placed underneath overflowed onto my floor, and I was unable to take a proper shower before work. Throughout this entire experience, the attitude from management has felt dismissive and unconcerned. Communication has been poor, accountability has been lacking, and every issue has required repeated follow-up. To make matters worse, the property itself is not well maintained. There is trash throughout the breezeways, yet residents are cited for minor trash violations while common areas remain littered. I’ve kept screenshots, payment records, maintenance requests, emails, and other documentation throughout this process because I honestly couldn’t believe how many issues could happen in less than one month. No resident should have to spend their first 30 days cleaning an apartment that wasn’t properly prepared, chasing management over duplicate payments and billing errors, fighting to receive promised move-in incentives, and living with an unresolved water heater leak. Do your research before signing a lease here. My experience has been exhausting, disappointing, and completely avoidable with better management and customer service.

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the excellent service we received at this community. We had to transfer to a different apartment, and the whole process was amazingly smooth, quick, and hassle-free, all thanks to the incredible support from the manager, Alice. She helped us every step of the way with a super professional, friendly, and efficient attitude. Her willingness to accommodate our needs and guide us through the entire transition made all the difference in the world. It is such a relief to have a management team that truly cares about its residents. On top of that, the property in general is in excellent condition. The common areas are always spotless, you can tell there is great maintenance throughout the grounds, and it’s a very quiet and enjoyable community to live in. I 100% recommend this place! If you are looking for a community with high-quality facilities and, above all, a top-notch management team that truly has your back, this is the place to be. A huge thank you to Manager Alice for all her help!

I recently toured Century Cedar Hill and I had a great experience! From the moment I arrived, the property was clean, well-maintained, and very welcoming. Cassandra was professional, knowledgeable, and took her time answering all of my questions without making me feel rushed. The apartment layouts were spacious and thoughtfully designed, with updated finishes and plenty of natural light. I especially loved the modern kitchen features and the overall feel of the community. The amenities and common areas were also nicely kept and gave a polished, upscale vibe. Overall, I left with a very positive impression. I was a resident for over 2 years, moved in June 2024 and moved out this July 2026. There are pros and cons to this complex and I don’t regret my time there! Pros: Location, near the shopping centers and activities Newer build, in the 2010’s so it doesn’t have the issues older apartments have and everything is modern and they are renovating so it looks even better when it already looked nice :) Many layout options for all the different amount of bedrooms. Maintenance was always prompt, friendly, and took care of business. Truly professional. We had one instance of an emergency maintenance call and they came in about 2 hours. The mail/amazon hub is great, they just redid the pools this summer. They use the Bilt App to pay rent, it gives you reward points and there’s a credit reporting option that I utilized to boost my credit score. It charges a fee unless you connect a bank account. Cons: Picking a building is crucial. Do not pick buildings 1-5. We were at the front of the complex near the leasing office and it has the worst parking situation. Especially in the summer with the pool parking. The new company took steps to notify people with expired registration/cars that were not being used that they would be towed if they didn’t remove their vehicles that were just taking up prime parking. A lot of residents were upset but it needed to happen. It is a pretty noisy complex especially in the front. The police station is down the street so sirens, emergency vehicles, midnight joyride motorcycles, loudly drive by all night. The other tenants do smoke all the times even though it is smoke free. The odor can be quite pungent sometimes and when we had downstairs neighbors that smoked it would travel up into our bathroom. I didn’t mind but if you are sensitive then it is pretty constant. There can be lots of unaccompanied teenagers. Most are respectful but the fire alarm was pulled in our building by a group of them, and they can yell concerning things sometimes or just be plain loud. A lot of people walk from Walmart and I wouldn’t say I ever felt unsafe but the gates are down along with many equipment being broken in the gym. Getting charged for the price of a luxury apartment when the environment did not live up to it was the biggest con. Most tenants don’t read email notices, so the renovations are taking longer, when we switched trash companies it took so long because tenants weren’t getting new trash cans or following the rules so the hallway got nasty/sticky. So if you don’t read emails you might think the communication is bad. It is rather last minute, I got an email to remove all patio items that day at 9am when I had already left for work. The new company did lower prices but it’s still very expensive. It is the best option in the Cedar Hill area so if location and modern is your priority and you have it in your budget it’s really not a bad price to live. If budget is your priority you can definitely find cheaper suitable options Some recent negatives reviews are from tenants that are not happy with the changes by new management. If you’re just a regular tenant that pays on time and minds your business, follows the rules, you won’t have any problems. I got my security deposit check about 6 weeks after moving out. The only amount taken out was for carpet cleaning($204) so not the worst. All in all not a bad place to live, met some nice neighbors and it was super close to my last job.
