Jade Ramos was incredibly professional, responsive, and helpful throughout the leasing process. She answered all of my questions clearly and made everything feel smooth and stress-free from start to finish. Her positive attitude and excellent customer service truly made the experience enjoyable.
It has been a few years now that I have lived at The Rail Apartments, located in the glorious East Austin. Although it has changed ownership from Greystar to Solidago, I can only say that things have vastly improved.
First off, the staff, including maintenance, leasing, and management are all exceptionally equipped with the skills to do their jobs. Elishja is a wonderful manager—despite being new to the role, he has adjusted really well. Jade is always a delight to see in the leasing office as well.
I have had some major issues with mold due to the shoddy construction of the building but this is mostly because I live on the first floor and I just had an unlucky draw when it came to unit number. However, the maintenance staff really knows how to reduce humidity and correct problems like this. Further, they are really flexible with your schedule when it comes to their maintenance scheduled time.
Although I wish the gym was bigger and better (a.k.a. I wish there was a treadmill instead of a running unit) there are a lot of weights and other equipment for gym junkies. The pool has to be the best part and you will see a lot of people outside reading and tanning throughout the year and it seems like everybody has the same consensus that it is one of the top amenities. My ultimate amenity preference is the underground parking, which is just insanely helpful, especially during storms and other weather events. When there is something broken, like the garage entrance gate, they are super fast to fix it. I’m serious, it will be fixed within eight hours.
With all of this being said I continue to re-sign my lease because the neighborhood feels like a family that I cannot divorce. I trust the postal workers, the UPS drivers and the FedEx drivers. It is also easy for deliveries from Gopuff, for Walmart+, or target delivery to find my apartment through the call box. Again, this location cannot be beat. I actually am a gardener at the St. David’s community garden, which has changed my life in a way that I cannot explain and it is something I can just walk to. Also, this place is called The Rail for a reason and taking the MLK train downtown has saved me so much money on ride shares, and for that I am forever grateful. Come check it out and tell them Pax Spelce referred you!
I lived at Rail Apartments in Unit 215, a one-bedroom apartment, for about two years, and I had a very positive experience. The apartment was comfortable, peaceful, and a great place to live as a single resident. The building was quiet, and I did not have issues with disturbances from neighbors or the surrounding area.
I also appreciated that the community felt safe and well maintained. The location was convenient, and the staff and maintenance team were helpful whenever something came up. Overall, it was a comfortable home for me during those two years, and I have good memories of living there.
Like any apartment community, there is always room for small improvements, but my overall experience was very good. I would recommend Rail Apartments to someone looking for a quiet, convenient, and comfortable place to live.

The staff is absolutely amazing. Whenever I put in a maintenance request, it is done pretty much immediately. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone!
My family and I lived at Rail Apartments in a two-bedroom apartment, for about two years, and we had a very good experience. This apartment was especially meaningful for us because we lived there with our baby, and it felt safe, peaceful, and comfortable for family life.
The community was quiet, and we did not experience disturbances. Our neighbors were kind, respectful, and helpful, which made the building feel welcoming and family-friendly. As parents, we really appreciated feeling secure and comfortable in our home and surroundings.
The apartment itself worked well for our family, and the staff and maintenance team were generally responsive whenever we needed assistance. There are always small things that any apartment community can improve, but overall we are grateful for our time. It was a safe and happy home for our family.
