I had decided not to leave reviews anymore, but I think this one is necessary. I lived in these apartments for three consecutive years. Honestly, I have nothing negative to say about the apartments themselves. My experience in my first unit was very positive. I met several property managers and staff members who were excellent. The maintenance technician, Richard, was always efficient, responsive, and professional. However, after being a long-term resident, everything changed when the new manager arrived. Suddenly there were fines for everything, and surveillance cameras were installed. In reality, it seemed like they were only used to monitor tenants and issue fines. Whenever residents actually needed help, the cameras were of no use. Our vehicle had its windows broken multiple times and was the target of attempted theft, yet management never cooperated by providing access to the security footage so we could find out what had happened. Last but not least, anyone considering renting here should know that when your lease ends, your move-out charges can be almost as much as an entire month’s rent. They charge you for practically everything: repainting doors, walls, and cabinets, replacing blinds, replacing the carpet, and anything else the manager decides to add. For these reasons, I cannot recommend renting at this property at this time. I also saw a comment mentioning bonuses, and from what I’ve heard from other residents, it may be true. Several people have said that these unexpected extra charges help reduce expenses for the property owners while allowing management to earn commissions or bonuses for their performance.

I have been living at Radius for a year now and we love it! The community is very quiet and beautiful with natural trees running through it. The pool area is lined with my favorite Barbados flowers and has been my favorite place to be during the summer heat. We have the 2/2 HUGE floor plan with a yard. It’s perfect. Definitely come check them out!

Water intrusion issues, mold issues, theft issues, I lived in 1014 for three years and I hear they are still not doing anything about it. A couple years later, my business partner moved into one of the units after I moved out in our company Truck got stolen. They wouldn’t even review the surveillance for us and said we needed a subpoena. Thanks guys. You are really about serving your tenants.

Cannot express enough how awful Radius was to my brother, his wife, and newborn baby. First of all, we moved my brother and his family from Houston to Austin, and Radius had been informing my brother his apartment was fully ready for him to move in. When we arrived with a U-Haul after packing up in Houston all day, we were told we had to wait 30 minutes for the cleaning crew to be done with his apartment. We were able to walk in while it was being cleaned, and it was NOWHERE near being ready for us. We were hit with the smell of weed reeking within the apartment almost immediately, along with a nasty, musty, almost dirty-dog like stench from the kitchen that always hit you in the face whenever you walked near it. When we walked into the rooms, it looked as if someone had taken a bag of chips, crushed them up, opened the bag, and shook it like a champagne bottle all over the room. The carpet was also stained, and my brother was told the carpets would be “brand new”. There was a broken mirror in the bathroom, rusty shower rods, dirty filth & stickiness everywhere, baseboards not finished, etc. We quickly decided to go and tell the front office how unacceptable this was, not only for the absolute poor condition the unit was in, but also for the fact that my brother had spent hundreds of dollars on movers, which was now delayed due to the absolute unprofessionalism and incompetence of the management. The manager, Christin, initially seemed horrified when my brother told her what we just walked into, and kept reiterating that she was going to let corporate know immediately and she was going to get my brother and his wife…. Starbucks… for the inconvenience. My brothers wife had to sit in the apartment lobby with their 6 week old baby and cat (in a carrier), while they waited on us to move things in for them to be comfortable. Spoiler alert, they were never comfortable here. Once the cleaning team finished, which they rushed to do so, we had no choice but to move the rest of my brothers stuff in. We realized as soon as we had finished, that the kitchen was INFESTED with COCKROACHES. Baby ones, medium ones, etc. They felt never-ending. Anytime you moved something in the kitchen, 5 would scatter around. Open a cabinet, there’s 3 to jumpscare you. Now obviously with a baby, they need to be fed, therefore, they had to sort out washing bottles and leaving them out to dry. Can you guess what I’m going to say next? Try going to grab a bottle for your baby and seeing baby cockroaches scattered all around/inside of them. My brothers wife was feeding their baby one of the 3 and a half days they were stuck in this place, when a cockroach crawled across her while she was on the couch with the baby. There was a cockroach in every crevice of this place, even the ice machine. Going back to the baseboards not being finished, there was literal food, batteries, and gunk stuck within the gap of the floorboards under the kitchen island, where lots of roaches liked to gather as well. Maintenance was absolutely useless, and when a pest control person came on the 3rd day, he looked around, and told my brother and his wife that these conditions were not suitable to live in, especially with a BABY, and also expressed how the manager had been rude to him when he arrived. Ironic. Speaking of the manager, Christian, who I read already has a bad reputation on here, lost any sort of empathy she originally showed my brother and his family. Maybe she doesn’t get paid enough to care, or maybe she truly could not do more to help, but the effort there was little to none. There was no Starbucks, which I only include because I find it comical, but she truly seemed like she gave up. She spoke with such attitude and ignorance when my brother and his wife went to have a conversation with her, and just kept replying with “I’m waiting to hear back from corporate.” It took my brothers wife calling her out by saying, “you don’t have to be rude,” and walking away, for Christian to lower her attitude with my brother. Overall, horrible experience.

We were extremely excited to move into Radius on Grove, but our experience ended up being one of the most disappointing and stressful housing experiences we’ve ever had. After relocating from Houston to Austin and coordinating movers, family help, and a full moving truck, we arrived expecting a clean, move-in-ready apartment. Instead, we walked into a unit that was still actively being cleaned and was nowhere near ready for residents. Dirt, hair, debris, stains, trash, and residue were throughout the apartment to the point that it genuinely looked unprepared for occupancy. The situation became even more concerning when we discovered multiple maintenance and sanitation issues throughout the unit, including broken fixtures, rust, missing weather stripping, damaged bathroom features, filthy areas under the sink/baseboards, and what appeared to be a roach infestation almost immediately after moving in. Finding roaches on clean dishes and crawling on brand-new furniture was absolutely unacceptable and honestly shocking. Instead of being able to settle into our new home, we were immediately forced to coordinate additional cleaning concerns, pest control, maintenance requests, and ongoing repairs right after receiving keys. I do want to acknowledge that Monica in the front office was kind and professional during the leasing process, but unfortunately the actual condition of the apartment did not reflect the standards that were promised before move-in. For a property built in 2017, the lack of preparation, cleanliness, quality control, and overall upkeep was incredibly disappointing. We voluntarily delayed our move-in date to allow extra preparation time, yet the apartment still felt nowhere near ready. Thankfully, we have since found a home elsewhere, but our short experience here left a lasting impression for all the wrong reasons. I sincerely hope management takes future move-ins more seriously because no resident should have to go through this experience. As of now, I don’t recommend anyone considering this property. I’d give 0 stars if I could.
