  I’ve been waiting to get my security deposit back after moving out of my apartment on the 15th of August and I still have not received it. I was told a check was cut on the 24th of August but they can’t locate it. I’ve called the apartment complex and the corporate office multiple times. I was told by someone from corporate that they escalated the issue to the higher ups for approval and still nothing was done. I don’t understand what’s so hard about calling the bank to do a stop on the check and just reissue a new one. I work in finance and do that multiple times a day. This is not professional and a slap in the face to a tenant that kept the unit in great condition and always made sure my rent was paid every month with NO eviction filing for the 2 years I lived on their property. I do not recommend renting at the Darnell. The complex has gone downhill since Carter Haston took over. I tried to approach the situation with understanding but of course that got me nowhere. My emails got ignored by the staff at the leasing office as well. This is very unacceptable.
