Do Not Rent From Here
I strongly advise against renting at this apartment complex.
When my ex-boyfriend and I moved in, the apartment was in terrible condition. There were cockroaches everywhere, and it was obvious that the kitchen drawers had not been cleaned. The dishwasher couldn’t even be opened because it was blocked by the counter. When maintenance finally came to fix it (after we had already moved in), it smelled awful and had cockroaches inside.
The kitchen floor sloped downhill due to damaged flooring. The AC units barely worked and did not keep the apartment cool. The hot water lasted maybe a few seconds at a time. At one point, our hot water completely stopped working and it took nearly a week to fix. We had to pay out of pocket to stay in a hotel. Although we were given a credit, it didn’t come close to covering what we spent.
When maintenance worked on the water heater, they left tools scattered across our counters and kitchen table and left everything a mess. One of the tools was extremely sharp. Thankfully, no children were staying with us at the time because someone could have been seriously injured.
The building itself has major issues. The walls are paper-thin — we could constantly hear neighbors arguing. The upstairs unit had around seven people living in a two-bedroom apartment, which created constant noise. The smell of marijuana was present at all hours of the day.
The laundry facilities are always dirty because no one regularly goes in to clean them. It’s clear that basic upkeep of common areas is not a priority.
Management was inconsistent and unprofessional. They sent emails about cleaning up after pets but frequently failed to restock pet waste bags at the stations. We ended up buying our own.
Pam, who was there when we first moved in, was wonderful. However, Jeremiah was extremely rude and sent unprofessional, snotty emails. When my ex struggled and was occasionally late on rent, he avoided communication and treated him differently, while making exceptions for others. They threatened eviction over being just two weeks late.
I work in management myself, and I would never treat people the way residents are treated here. Professionalism, fairness, and basic respect go a long way — and that was not our experience.
We were desperate when we moved in, and unfortunately, it showed in the condition and management of this property.
If you’re considering moving here, please be aware of these issues and proceed with caution.
