  It was a time my air didn’t work for 2 WEEKS almost when it was horrible heatwave a few months ago and they have a complete asinine roach problem to the point where they were in my bathroom when i first moved in, they went and came back and overran my kitchen. Multiple people told me the same thing before they moved out. Avoid at all costs. (i’ve also seen people move in and move out within 3 months of being there too.)

  They never gave me my security deposit back. I called and emailed many times. They are terrible to deal with. Both of the property managers are a nightmare. Don’t rent here if you can help it. UPDATE: I did not receive the check that they supposedly mailed in August.

  If you’re moving from out of town BE MINDFUL! I was moving from Dallas to Madison and after paying my application fee($50) the office tells me they can’t process my job offer telling me the apartment manager the only one can do it and was told she won’t be in until Tuesday(it was Friday when I was told this), come Tuesday and Wednesday I get COMPLETELY ignored calls and email mind you I told them I was moving into town a week prior on upcoming Tuesday and Wednesday and the lady said they can get me in by then! But again I get COMPLETELY ignored! Showed up to the property on Tuesday from Dallas no one’s there’s! Emailed them after a day of waiting to cancel my application and of course they responded within a couple of hours lol! Terrible management! Glad I did get ignored because while on the property i checked it out and i seen AC units in windows, overflow on the dumpster, dog poop in the grass! Just be mindful of where you’re moving! Management could careless and worse experience ever with dealing with an apartment

  Heaven Veneer with the comfort of hell: BEWARE THE TRAIN Have you ever seen a movie or TV show where the lessor/salesman brings the unsuspecting couple to an apartment or home between the times that an unmentioned blaring train is scheduled to roar by, and the couple finds out their new nightmare the first night while attempting to sleep? Yep, you're about to be the dupe in THAT MOVIE: Madison Crest Express. The complex is not required to tell you about the train but it's low character to not ensure those about to lock into a lease are aware of the extreme nuisance. The train tracks sit at the back of the property obscured by trees and brush. There are several crossings close to the property which require the engineer to sound the whistle for an extended period of time. The track experiences high traffic, the trains run all throughout the night, and it's like having a train whistle for an alarm clock that goes off randomly! "Oh I'll get used to it." If you can sleep through a gunshot going off in your room multiple times a night you're probably right. We literally risk our lives each night SLEEPING WITH EAR PLUGS! Lord forbid there is a fire one night and we don't hear the fire alarms going off. Didn't know about the train and want to leave the next day? Sure, just give a 60 day notice, forfeit your security deposit, and pay one month's rent liquidated damages. The least Madison Crest could have done is pay a little more for insulation that reduces external noise, knowing they were building so close to a whistling train. The day my lease is up I will RUN from this place. It does look nice though ;-)
