  I have lived here for almost two years, and the biggest issue has never really been the property itself, it has been the property management. When I moved in, I paid a move-in fee that included a clean-home assurance, yet the apartment had muddy footprints, dirty walls, a dirty toilet, and construction debris. Five days after I had already moved in and cleaned it myself, the cleaning company finally contacted me. I was later told I was supposedly expected to take the apartment “as is,” which was never discussed with me or agreed to. At the end of January, a thermostat issue turned into damaged wiring and left me without heat for four days. I repeatedly contacted management explaining that I had no heat, but it did not feel like any priority was being made to get it restored. It was not until the electric company became involved and contacted management that the issue was finally resolved. I have also repeatedly asked for notice before maintenance, pest control, or other vendors come to my home, yet it continues to happen. I also received a surprise $405 plumbing charge with no prior explanation, just a notice that it was LATE and DUE. After eight months of living here, I was told it was because of “excessive hair,” despite the drain having been an issue since move-in. I disputed the charge and was ignored by property management, and it was only resolved because I was able to contact the owner directly. I also asked about removing myself from the lease while my roommate, who is already on the lease, remained. Based on the options presented to me, I calculated it would cost us roughly $4,000+ just for me to come off the lease while she stayed. And today, I came home to find the entrance to my driveway blocked by the property manager, despite there being other places to park that would not have inconvenienced anyone. When I asked why she parked there, I was told to “mind my business.” When I said, “I live here,” I was told, “Yeah, well I manage it.” That interaction honestly summed up much of my experience here. After 12 years of renting, this is the only property management experience I would not recommend. You should be able to feel safe in your home and trust and be respected by the people managing it. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

  I had the pleasure of working with Leslie on a real estate transaction, and she was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail throughout the entire process.
