- KKKaseyMay 20, 20253.02 words: poor craftsmanship. New builders seem to not take pride in their work. Once the home is sold to you, good luck trying to get them to come out to do anything. They’re getting 3 stars for the house plan and lot sizes. Everything else…they paint over EVERY single outlet cover, the cement everywhere is shoddy, they cut tons of corners just to get these houses up and sold. I understand there are issues with any kind of house, brand new or old…but when you pay over 400k for a brand new house, you would at least expect some sort of standard from the builders.
