Absolutely a terrible experience renting. Upon moving out of the apartment, they towed my van that my mother came in with to help me move after office hours. It was the second time that a vehicle was towed in my residency there and they charged $400 both times. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. They were completely unnerved by towing a car after it came in after 6 PM in the evening and the office was closed therefore unable to get a visitor fast.

Took my car from here because I had no parking permit I was visiting , then said they would let it go for $100 or I can just go pick it up 20m away for $300 at the place they take. Them to. After getting it bck, way later I noticed they took stuff out of it because I had it open. Yes they still stuff from your car if you don’t have it locked.

While I do enjoy living in this complex, the experience I've had with both management and the unit I was given has been very poor. I was double-charged my move-in expenses by their third-party rent-collecting system, then had to wait three days to get the money they took from me. Now that I've lived here for about two weeks, I have had to submit at least 6 maintenance requests for broken appliances, stuck doors, cracked tiles, and falling wall fixtures. Every time maintenance fixes a problem in my apartment, another one pops up. The maintenance team has likely become way too familiar with my complex and no one is happy about it. Three different appliances have not been functioning correctly at this current moment, and I am dreading to see what else is broken tomorrow. I'm only two weeks into my lease and I am already exhausted.

Do not rent here! maintnance is a joke and likes to walk into your home without notice. as everyone knows in the state of tennessee the law is they have to give you a 24 hour or more notice. they don't do that here, so if u want 5 guys in and out ur home unannounced while ur at work. this is the place for you! There is a ton of structural damage to the apartments and they are breaking a lot of codes! They have water cockroaches in the apartments and in the grills they provide on the property... yuck.. i could go on all day! Amber Hand the property manager sucks at her job. ignore her boyfriends review of how "great" she is. Take my advice and choose the hawthorne right down the road. Rise is a joke

Rise is honestly a great little complex. The location is super convenient! Mountain Creek Road Park is about a 10 minute walk down the road. They also have a pretty cool trail behind the complex, with a decent loop for hiking and lots of rocks for rock climbing. The front office also frequently hosts food trucks, so that’s always a cool little plus for the community! Maintenance is also wonderful. They are always quick, kind, and knowledgeable when we submit requests. My only cons: 1. Just like any complex, they slightly raised our rent when the lease renewal came around. This just seems greedy to me when we are already in an older unit and they aren’t making any of the newer upgrades/finishes to the apartment.. If they do it again on our third renewal, we will likely move. 2. When we toured this complex, we were told that all units have ceiling fans, which was a huge plus for us since we sleep hot. However when we arrived to move into our unit, it was not equipped with a bedroom fan. I have emailed management about it multiple times, and while they responded at first saying they would “check with maintenance”, they ultimately stopped replying to my emails which sucked. We felt with a rent increase, it could’ve been the least they could do. (This could have just been a miscommunication issue regarding which apartment we were receiving. Moving from out of state, we were unable to look at the exact unit we were getting) 3. Amenity wise, the pool grill always seems to be broken. (However there is a second grill further up the complex which always seemed to work so that’s good!) 4. Dog poop everywhere, always. They are supposed to pick up dog poop for DNA testing and fine the tenants the dog is associated with, but I’m not sure if that ever happens because it’s obvious the same culprits continue leaving it. I’ve also emailed about this numerous times but it doesn’t ever seem to get taken care of until we email/complain about the amount of dog poop. 5. ALSO, there are never any bags at the dog poop stations. I know it is ultimately the responsibility of the pet owner to buy bags, but if you’re charging everybody a pet rent, it’s the least you can do to supply bags..(with probably the insane amount of money that’s collected in said pet rent every month!) 6. The gym is nothing to write home about. Has a few treadmills and basic equipment if you just needed a quick little workout. Always clean in there and AC works great though! I wouldn’t say these cons take much away from this community though. Besides the ceiling fan issue, management is always very polite and almost always responsive with anything else.
