I found the rent to be high for what was offered, and I was disappointed with how my move-out charges were handled. I disagreed with being charged for replacement of appliances rather than what I believed would have been reasonable repair or cleaning. My advice to future tenants is to take detailed photos and videos of everything before moving in and before moving out

I lived here for less than a year, and when I was moving out they tried to charge me at least 1700 for "appliance replacements." Rebecca at the leasing office stated they had the photos and sent it to collections because I didn't respond. They never contacted me via phone or emails. I believe this is a running scam they are doing. Also the mail locker room hasn't had an active lock in a very long time which they refuse to replace, the garbage dumpster says it's for the residents but you can barely ever access it, and the maintenance barely gets back to you ever. It markets itself as being nice, but I really just aims to take advantage of members. They will push for you to try and just move out without inspection. Do not do this and seek legal counseling.

Make sure you understand you WILL not get any fees returned and that “conditional” really does not apply.

I also strongly advise any current or future tenants to take photos and video of the appliances and conditions of everything inside of their apartment. There is definitely something deeper going on here at this complex. I am currently dealing with a recent move-out concerning invalid charges for full appliance replacements. However, this complex is using photos from appliances and apartments that aren't even mine. I recommend all military either stationed here or temporary housed at the Retreat, who have issues, to contact legal and Public Affairs on base.

All I have to say is I would strongly advise future tenants to take detailed photos and videos of everything before moving in, because disputes will not be handled fairly.
