  I was a tenant for almost two years. On the plus side, the maintenance crew, led by Bill and Cody are great. They take care of any needs quickly. On the minus side, this is a sloppy apartment complex were rules are rarely enforced. The common area in our building needed cleaning at least four times a week and we would be lucky to see the cleaning crew once a week and usually once every two weeks. Our building was dirty with scuffed walls and it regularly smelled. The outside was unkept with litter. Essentially, the property owners are unwilling to spend the money needed to have a quality apartment complex. The property needs more people to clean and keep the place tidy. It is far from a luxury complex. You need to set your expectations before renting here.

  Good location with well built living spaces (apartment and amenities) and never had an issue with maintenance. Neighbors are friendly. They did raise rent after first year however. Only issue is the valet trash service that is auto factored into rent. First — they won’t pickup trash if you have two bags in the trash can which can make the hallway have an odor and service doesn’t happen on Friday/Saturday Second — the trash dumpster area is locked on the weekend so there are times where you have zero place to put trash which is bananas when charging $2k+

  Need to share pics I took the day I moved into apartment. The pics of vacuum canisters are from the dirty carpet. I requested to have carpet cleaned and was told from management the carpets were just cleaned and I would need to pay $85 if I wanted to have them cleaned again. "Again" really, they were filthy. There is also a pic of washing machine. The amount of mold inside the washing machine is disgusting. Also, problems with AC since day one. Hardly any air blows out of the vents, probably from mold, dirt and no telling what else. Maintenance is pretty much useless. I don't know if it's a lack of competence or money. They have two favorite phrases, "the property is out of money" and the "previous resident never complained." I could go on all day with issues I experienced. Management and maintenance have also written positive reviews trying to increase their score but it doesn't seem to be working. I did not write this review to harm the property. I wrote it to help future residents decide what is best for them. With all the apartment options on DI do yourself a favor and skip Central Island Square. Your peace and lungs(mold) will thank you!

  Zack was great. But they use a super fraudulent company RentGrow for the screening process, look them up before you put in an Application. I’m overly qualified and got denied. Rentgrow is denying qualified people making up stuff. It’s a cash grab with the apartment company and rentgrow.
