  There Is No Place Like Home A Reflection of Thanksgiving There is no perfect family, no perfect community, no perfect church, and no perfect place of employment. I happen to believe that wherever we find ourselves, each individual has a responsibility to contribute to the whole. They say it takes a village to raise a child. I have come to believe that it also takes a village to build a community. I have lived at The Lory of Harbison since 2019, and my experience has not been perfect. Has everything always gone well? Absolutely not. Have every question and concern always been answered or addressed when I wanted them to be? Absolutely not. But that isn’t the whole story. What stands out to me today is that I love my community. I am thankful for a place I can call home and for the amenities and surroundings that contribute to my health, wellness, and quality of life. I also recognize that creating a good community cannot be left solely to property management, staff, or ownership. We have a part to play, too. How we treat our neighbors matters. How we care for the property matters. How we communicate matters. How we look out for one another matters. And how we contribute to the atmosphere of the place we call home matters. I especially want to say thank you to the neighbors of Building C those who are here now and those who have come and gone over the years. Building C has become its own little community. We strive to look out for one another, help when we can, and simply care one neighbor at a time. The Lory of Harbison has great potential, and it offers many wonderful amenities that make living here enjoyable. There will always be room for improvement, as there is anywhere people live and work together. But improvement is something all of us can participate in. After being here since 2019, today my review is simply one of thanksgiving. Thank you to those who work behind the scenes. Thank you to those who maintain our community. Thank you to the neighbors who still believe in being neighborly. A community isn’t simply where we live. It’s what we help create together. And at the end of the day, there really is no place like home. The Lory of Harbison my community, my home.

  Been here for 5 months ac went out was supplied with 2 portable units cause my electric bills to average $355 plus a month they don’t cool a entire room this heat is insane

  I'm in my 2nd month of renting at the Lory and Sylinthia is wonderful and pleasant office manager to work with. She was very patient with me during the whole move in process. I would recommend anyone interested in moving to somewhere great to contact her immediately. 😊
