Baker Commercial Properties

Baker Commercial Properties is a commercial real estate owner, developer, and investment company that maintains a diversified portfolio in multiple property types, mostly throughout Columbia and South Carolina. Baker Commercial Properties was founded in the 1950's by first cousins, David Baker and Lee J. Baker, graduates of the University of South Carolina Law School, who both practiced practical law for several years prior to starting the business. The partners began developing office buildings throughout the East Coast for General Motors Acceptance Corporation, Western Union, Western-Southern Life Insurance Company, Life of Virginia and Southern Bell.
