  First visit to Daniel Island, so close to Mount Pleasant- the waterfront park was so peaceful. A family oriented island with lots of golfcarts and parks for kids. The midtown shops and eateries has everything you need all at your fingertips!

  I disliked pretty much everything about these condos. 1.6 million gets you about 2200 Sq ft of a very industrial looking space, no interesting woodwork or finishes...an unappealing layout where you walk into a short hall and immediately face the kitchen and open living space. In one condo, the laundry room was the first room to right off the front door!! Ouch...carpeting in the bedrooms were a blah industrial grade and weird bold gray and white tile patterns in bathroom and laundry room floors that you might find in restaurants or public bathrooms...really weird choices. The kitchen cabinets were all dark gray laminate, modern and flat as were kitchen counters. There was no interest or personality and the views for 1.6 mill was nothing to speak of. They call it waterfront but beware...you barely can see a speck of water through buildings and trees in the condos available now. And phase II will be 2 million+ due to 40% higher building costs...same Sq footage...and those who might get waterfront views face container ports with cranes and a constant view of container barges. Not my dream of serenity.
