  I've rented from The Heyward from 2021-2026 and loved my time there. Friendly neighbors, wonderful staff. Speaking of staff, Mariah has always been great. She diligently works to ensure your stay at the complex is a pleasurable experience. She's caring, personable and professional. Just an all around pleasant leasing agent. As for the apartment complex itself, I'd say the price point is comparable to other complexes. So I don't think you'd feel taken advantage of. The grounds and amenities are clean and neat. If I had one negative, it would be some neighbors don't pick up after their pets. You'd definitely enjoy your time here if you decide to rent.

  Moved here about 2 weeks ago from Nashville without ever having seen the property or unit in person and quite frankly the pictures online don’t even do it justice. The heyward has exceeded my expectations! The staff are very kind and helpful, the property is well kept, my neighbors are super nice. It feels like you are living at a resort. Shoutout to Allie for being so helpful over the phone during my leasing/signing process!

  Really lucked out on this place! Front office staff are rockstars at their jobs & great with communication. Plus they schedule activities for the community to come together which makes this place feel like home. Maintenance is on the ball as well; the grounds/amenities are kept pristine and any requests are handled efficiently. Great place for dog owners- walking trail, ample waste stations, free treats in the clubhouse, and a great dog park with friendly dogs. Pros: New/updated units, clean quiet property, great parking, great free coffee, friendly neighbors, covered mailboxes, gas fire pit, gas grills, clean pool, clean gym, large clean dog park, free car wash with vacuum. Close to Waffle House, Costco, Publix, Walgreens, Parker's/other gas stations, West Ashley Greenway and Stono Park. Cons: The guest parking might be far from your unit. Nit-Picking: No fishing in ponds 9/10 (please let me catch the big bass in the pond, Michaela)

  Great apartment with updated amenities. Beautiful pool and nature trail. My personal favorite thing is the dog park (and pet spa) located in the neighborhood. The office staff puts together monthly events, food trucks, and get togethers for residents. Highly recommend.
