  I have lived at Daniel Island Village since 2021. I love the beautiful grounds and the way the campus is maintained. There have been several management changes over the years as is common with apartment complexes. In the past months, I have had the opportunity of dealing with Charrise Johnson, our assistant manager. She is courteous, prompt to respond and an asset to our community. I appreciate Charrise and the rest of the staff.

  The apartments are nice, the community is quiet and peaceful, and the special events organized for residents are always great and make the experience more enjoyable. The maintenance team is excellent—super quick, knowledgeable, and always helpful whenever something is needed. The entire staff is also very nice, polite, and professional, which makes a big difference. However, there are two main reasons why I am giving 3 stars instead of a higher rating. First, the overall cleaning of common areas, especially the barbecue area, stairs, and shared spaces, is not always very good and could definitely be improved. These are important areas for residents, and better maintenance and cleanliness would make the community feel much more cared for. Second, the gym is missing an important piece of equipment: a Leg Extension + Prone Leg Curl machine. Without it, it is difficult to complete a full lower body workout, especially for properly training quadriceps and hamstrings. Adding this equipment and improving the overall cleanliness would make a big difference and significantly improve the living experience for residents. Overall, it is still a good place to live, but there is room for improvement.
