I would not recommend living here based on my experience.
Since moving in, I have had an ongoing issue with my apartment staying unusually warm, often in the mid-70s to mid- 80s, even with both AC units running at maximum. This issue began over seven months ago when I first raised my concerns with the management team. Unfortunately, I never received a response. After following up again, I was told that I needed to submit a maintenance ticket. Despite doing so and continuing to follow up, I have not received consistent communication or a clear resolution.
One of my biggest frustrations has been the lack of follow-through. I submitted a maintenance ticket regarding the temperature issue, and it was closed the next day even though no one had come to inspect my apartment. When I followed up asking why it was closed without anyone visiting, I did not receive a response until nearly a month later, and the response never addressed that concern.
I also raised concerns about unusually high PECO bills (over $300 for a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment) and was told the billing had been reviewed and that the heat was turned off. However, my main concern was not only the billing. My concern was that my apartment continued to stay warm, even with the heat off, and that I could not get clear assistance on having the issue properly inspected.
It took nearly a month to receive a response from the property manager to my follow-up, and the response did not acknowledge the lack of communication or explain why my previous maintenance ticket was closed without a visit. Instead, I was told to submit another work order. Outside of this situation, there have unfortunately been other times where I submitted maintenance tickets and received no response for nearly two months. In those cases, I had to escalate the issue before anyone came to inspect my apartment.
Overall, this has been a frustrating experience. I understand that apartment communities have many residents and responsibilities, but when a tenant reports the same issue for over seven months, submits tickets, follows up through emails and phone calls, and still cannot get timely communication or proper follow-through, that is unacceptable.
Based on my experience, the lack of communication, accountability, and urgency has been extremely disappointing.
