Do not rent from this apartment complex! If you do, only communicate with Nicole and Ashley in the Springfield leasing office because they are kind and do their best to help. There is too much mis communication and wrong information between the leasing offices that have angered many past and current residents and it will cost you money. I signed a new lease after my original one was up and I kept getting at least one call per month from other people in the office about signing a new lease because I hadn't yet, even though I did. They also paid out a concession to me via a third party app on a vanilla gift card to renew and said because of that I wont be obligated to pay it back if I had to break the lease early. Well the corporate side charged me for it and haven't returned five calls (with voicemails) and five emails! I will probably be forced to pay it or else it'll go to collections and affect my perfect rental history. With the information given to me I shouldn't be charged for it. The units are nice and the grounds are well kept, but the new management group, employee turnover, wrong leasing information given, and bad communication makes it not worth renting here at a high price point.

If we could give Marcola Apartment Homes zero stars, I would. Living here for two years was one of the biggest mistakes my wife and I ever made. The leasing office’s communication is absolutely terrible. Emails are ignored, phone calls go unanswered, and when you do finally get a response, don’t expect it to be consistent. They’ll tell you one thing, then later change their story or claim they forgot. If you decide to live here, document everything! The management is incredibly disorganized. We scheduled multiple inspections with the office, rearranged our schedules to be home, and they simply never showed up. Every time, the excuse was that they “forgot.” Apparently, residents’ time means nothing. The move out process was just as chaotic. We were contacted and told we never provided a forwarding address, even though we absolutely did. Then our final billing contained multiple discrepancies, and getting answers or explanations was nearly impossible because, once again, communication was nonexistent. To make matters worse, there’s now a gas station being built right next to the apartments. If you’re considering signing a lease, be aware that the area is changing significantly and may become much busier and noisier than when many current residents moved in. We spent thousands of dollars to live here, and looking back, it feels like money completely wasted. There are far better apartment communities that actually value their residents, communicate professionally, and keep their property maintained. Save yourself the frustration and rent somewhere else!!!!

We've been here for a couple of years and the office staff has one of the highest turn overs I have ever seen. They communicate poorly, don't send notices or agreements out when they say they will, and when they mess up it's the long term residents that pay the price. I would not recommend coming here to anyone. You also pay a very premium price for an apartment advertised with amazing amenities, but those amenities have proven to be inadequate for a complex as large as this one is. We were excited to be here in the beginning. Things were different and arguably better when DeeDee was here. This is very upsetting. We pay nearly 2600 dollars a month here, but it is very clear that this place only cares about money, and not residents that have been consistent with their tenancy here.

Zane is extremely professional, polite expedient, quiet while working respectful. I always see him working diligently and with intent and purpose and keeps whole facility looking great. Today he replaced washer and dryer so quickly and quietly and was very kind. Really had work to do by himself and he made it look like something fun when really he wears working very hard. Thank you Zane. Please make sure that he is commended as one of the great members of fantastic team. He’s you g and should be encouraged to flourish

DO NOT RENT AT MARCOLA APARTMENTS I lived at Marcola Apartment Homes for two years, and my experience with management was consistently frustrating. From the beginning, it was incredibly difficult to get anyone in the leasing office to work with me on even straightforward issues. They were virtually impossible to reach by phone during the day, when I visited the office in person they were dismissive and unhelpful. The biggest issue has been a $200 renewal incentive that was explicitly included in my signed lease agreement. Despite bringing it to their attention multiple times over the course of several months, the issue remains unresolved. It’s disappointing to have a signed agreement ignored while being forced to repeatedly follow up with no response. The condition of the property has also steadily declined. The grounds are littered with dog feces, making walks around the complex unpleasant. Parking is never available, makes it impossible for households with more than one vehicle to find parking. The trash compactor area is another major problem, it is regularly overflowing, the surrounding ground is covered in rotting debris, and the smell is horrible. After two years, and the high rent that I have paid, I expected far better communication, accountability, and upkeep from the property management. Instead, I was left chasing basic responses, dealing with unresolved lease issues, and watching the condition of the property deteriorate. I cannot recommend Marcola Apartment Homes based on my experience. Avoid this complex if you want to be treated fairly.
