I'm a current resident and don't want my home address listed publicly so am using an alias but just want to assure you that I'm a real person and not a bot!
The pros: such a well maintained building with a very professional and excellent property management team. Shoutout to Amanda who is responsive and responsible. The maintenance crew is also very skilled and lovely folks. Management ensures that the hallway carpets get cleaned regularly, the dryer vents, etc. Not all apartments take care of the common spaces and units so well like this! You can really tell they take pride in their properties and are invested in maintaining it.
The units are also very nice with amenities like a dishwasher (mini) and full sized washer and dryer. If you have a corner unit, your place is washed in sunlight and it's so lovely. I love the secure package system (when the folks delivering actually use it) and I feel very safe in this neighborhood. The location can't be beat. My visitors love staying with or near me because the neighborhood has so many great places to explore (Proud Mary's, tons of coffee shops, cute boutique shops, so many restaurants, Salt&Straw).
The cons: You can definitely hear your neighbors -- especially the upstairs neighbors if you live on the 2nd and 3rd floor. If you live on the side that faces Alberta St, it's also very loud with the cars, the foot traffic, early morning deliveries, etc. If you're fine with city noise, this shouldn't bother you too much. That would be my biggest complaint -- the noise but I guess that comes with apartment life. The other con is the lack of storage space. There is only one closet and while it's pretty big, it's not enough. They have storage units inside but that's an additional fee to rent.
Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better first apartment in Portland experience. I love this building and the management company!
