  Rats and they dont care! Its been 5 days since I caught this and all that's been done is more traps have been provided. The entry has not been sealed. It's been a week and 4 days since ive suspected ive been living with rats.

  Update — October 12, 2026 Formal reply submitted to the Clerk of Courts. Once adjudicated, this will hold ownership accountable for the negligence that forces tenants out only to have their credit and reputations wrecked in the process. October 10th 2026 I have to spend my time and money to present the correspondence between me and the property manager who was FIRED pictures, emails, and texts that support why I had to move and make a case for the expensive costs a disabled, retired person had to bear.Continue to contact me with your experience based on the actions of K and D Property Management. UPDATE!!! This is how I get to spend my time after a horrible experience living in this property! In Cleveland, Ohio, landlord-tenant relationships are governed by Ohio Revised Code (R.C.) Chapter 5321 and the jurisdiction of the Cleveland Housing Court (or the relevant municipal court in Cuyahoga County). When a property manager fails or refuses to provide required services or maintenance, and the landlord attempts to pass those costs onto the tenant or bill for the deficit, the primary legal remedies involve breach of statutory duties, unlawful fee assessments, and statutory rent escrow. UPDATE October 8th 2026 I'm being sued and I know at least 10 other previous tenants who moved out after being told "we don't have to provide an elevator" to a 70 year old woman!! YES YOU DO HAVE TO MAKE SURE THE ELEVATORS WORK! We are putting together a class action lawsuit with the tenants who were sued because they broke the lease. Harbor Crest Apartments (K&D Management) – Severe Elevator & Habitability Issues Be extremely cautious before signing a lease here. This is an 18-story complex with hundreds of units where all elevators are never fully operational, leaving elderly residents and individuals with disabilities stranded on a regular basis. The elevator bank is serviced by Otis Elevator (1-833-441-6847), but systemic outages persist. Official service and maintenance records reveal a chronic pattern of unresolved failures, recurring downtime, and patchwork fixes. Instead of permanently remediating the underlying issues, management appears to have decided that the cost of proper asbestos abatement in the elevator doors and framing exceeds the value of tenants' sanity, health, and basic right to functional, safe elevators that don't expose them to carcinogenic hazards. Upper-floor access is an ongoing failure, trapping residents in their homes, cutting off essential egress, and preventing Euclid Fire and EMS personnel from reaching critical emergencies in a timely manner. Rather than honoring basic habitability standards under Ohio law, K&D Management turns around and sues tenants who are forced to break their leases due to these unlivable conditions. They routinely disregard formal written notices, disability accommodation requests, and municipal complaints, choosing instead to unleash their collection attorneys to chase down tenants for fabricated damages and accelerated rent. Request the elevator service records, document every breakdown, log your calls with Otis Elevator (1-833-441-6847), and file formal complaints directly with the City of Euclid Building & Housing Department at (216) 289-2700 to make sure every code violation is officially logged on public record. Look elsewhere for housing.

  The elevators don’t be working it be roaches crawling around the building like they pay rent. If you have a problem in your apartment it takes weeks for a drunk maintenance man to come attempt to fix it

  Bad Pest issues & money hungry don’t move here . Recently had two plug leaking water & they did nothing about it . Looked inside of the empty plug attached to the wall & the wall was soaking wet . No heat this past winter so we’ll see this upcoming winter . Nobody ever answers the phone .
