  Scott is a great inspector who is very kind and knowledgeable. We are first time home buyers and he answered any questions we had. He went above and beyond and we couldn’t have asked for a better inspector for our first home. 100% recommend.

  Very disappointed. Two items were not mentioned in the report. The first item was the access panel for the dryer vent. If Scott would have stepped on a step stool and simply pushed up on the panel he would have immediately seen that there was a problem. The area was full of lint and the line had come apart. It turns out it’s completely blocked and we have to pay someone to fix it. When I brought these items up to him recently, he told me that he “would never remove the dryer vent cover during the inspection”. He did however open a larger access panel in the garage ceiling and a smaller access panel in a closet. All he had to do is push up the small panel and look and he would have seen the issue. The next item concerns the layout of the downstairs half bath/utility room. I had previously looked in but didn’t notice the problem at a glance. The toilet was positioned too close to the wall in front and when we were there to work on the condo I realized it was only usable if you sit on it sideways. There is practically no room for a person’s legs in front. When I confronted Scott with this matter afterward he said. “I agree that the toilet is oddly situated, but that is not a material defect as defined by our professional standards of practice. We do not comment on code-compliance or installation guideline issues. We perform a simple functionality test, flushing the toilet and checking for leaks or signs of damage. The toilet worked fine during the inspection.” So if the toilet was installed backwards there would be no mention of how difficult it would be to use as long as it flushed properly and had no leaks because as Scott said “We do not comment on code compliance or installation guideline issues.” Why not? On your website it says “ A HOME INSPECTION THAT BUYS YOU PEACE OF MIND We pay attention to the details so you don’t have to.” That’s what I hired you for Scott. So now we have to pay thousands to fix these problems that should have been mentioned up front. If we had been given the proper heads up we would have renegotiated the price or backed out of the deal. Now we’re stuck with fixing it. I cannot recommend because in my opinion Scott failed to make us aware of these issues and won’t admit that he made a mistake
