We moved from Cleveland to Akron and toured several complexes before choosing Hunt Club Apartments — so glad we did! Rachel made the process easy and was kind, attentive, and professional throughout.
The apartment is a great value — spacious kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and amazing amenities including a 24-hour gym, a sauna we love, and a pool my fiancé enjoys. Watching fireworks from our balcony on the 4th of July was a highlight, and the peaceful view makes working from home even better.
The maintenance team is also fantastic — responsive, on time, and professional.
Only downside: no in-unit washer/dryer yet (we’re on the waitlist!). There’s a laundry room on the third floor with a card system — you load cash onto the card, then use the card to run the machines. It’ll make things even better once it comes through.
Overall, a wonderful place to land in a new city. Highly recommend Rachel and the whole team!
Hello I am hear for my end of year review I spent 12 months at hunt club.
If you want to use amenities they are good and well maintained however, a good chunk of rent is for these perks so if you do not need a pool, hot tub, sauna then keep that in mind.
Maintenance is amazing every call was answered that day no question and the tow guys are goats.
The leasing office is great and help just realized today my autopay was off and they did not charge me any late fees for a simple mistake.
Rent did not rise for me this year but others may be different.
This is a pricey place but compared to those in similar price points hit club is great.
I like it here. I feel unbothered, neighbors are nice and courteous and the place is clean. The front office handles things quickly and Maintenance is great at getting things done and communicating effectively, which is hard to find for apartments. The price is better than you'll find around for the amenities and space you get.
My only complaint is that there seems to be a lot of maintenance-related tasks that need to get done that requires access to the unit. More than I've ever seen in any apartments I lived in. And while I appreciate the upkeep, I wish we got more notice because we usually get 2 or 3 days, and I'm a 3rd shifter so this maintenance work causes my dog to bark and keeps me up during my sleep hours. More notice would give me time to board my dog so he's not stressed in his crate for that time, or give me time to arrange somewhere else to sleep.

We lived at Hunt Club from June 2023 to March 2026. There are some great characteristics to this place, but there were a few issues over our time there that made us pretty eager to leave.
PROS:
- The price was great; always $200+ below comparable apartments in the area. Rent was only raised a small amount each year.
- Fantastic maintenance and communication with the leasing office. Maintenance was almost always completed the following day, and the leasing office was always quick to reply to emails.
- Our unit was old but in good shape. Everything was clean (enough) and either functioned as expected or was replaced as soon as it did not.
- Well kept grounds. Snow and ice was regularly removed.
CONS:
- THE NOISE! OH THE NOISE! For the first two years, we had upstairs neighbors with young kids that were out of control. The kids would scream, jump around, or bounce basketballs every minute of every day. We could hear the parents yell at the kids pretty clearly, but that just added to the noise. Around the time they FINALLY moved out, another family moved in downstairs and BLASTED their TV all day, every day. This time around, we decided to be more proactive, so we asked the family to turn their TV down a dozen times. After no a change, we submitted multiple complaints to the leasing office. While they did claim to reach out to the tenants each time, they never acted on the portion of the lease that the neighbors were breaching (unreasonable noise in and outside of quiet hours). They really should have been removed from the building.
- Our internet did not work if it was above 50 degrees outside. Both spectrum ( the only wired option) and the office claimed it was the responsibility of the other party to fix the issue. I ended up just dealing with the issue as I could not take any more time away from work to be at the apartment to work with spectrum.
- We briefly had roaches coming from a neighboring unit. While the office was quick to respond and send pest control a few times, this was still an uncomfortable issue to have over the course of a couple months.
In summary, we would have loved to stay at Hunt Club if we weren’t being driven to madness by the noise.
Common washer is broken since one month and no one is responsible to fix it. Alternatively you have to go to next building to get your wash no matter how cold it is outside or pay extra to have your own washer dryer on rent from the leasing office.
